This shows the anatomy of the seat bar switch. It's located on the left side and needs to be working to allow the machine to move. My seat bar would only work in random positions and the spline on the indexing bushing was worn out.

I had freezing rain get into the cab and the seat bar was frozen down and when I lifted it up, it stripped the spine on the bushing for the switch. After that, I the position of the bar that allowed the switch to operate the loader would change. Normally when you put the seat bar down, the indexing spline on the bushing only lets the operating switch work in that position. Mine would work with the bar in random positions and that position changed every time I lifted the seat bar. The switch itself was fine.

I mistakenly stated the switch was on the right, but it's on the left side. It was on the right when I had the seat bar off and was looking at it for the video. The seat bar has to come off to slide the switch into place.

I purchased same parts but have question about how to remove seat bar. Do I need to do anything to the big assist springs? release tension?? It appears to have adjusting screw, possibly hex or star. I have looked everywhere for info on how to remove seat bar!!!

It's been a year since I had that seat bar apart, Mike. As I recall, I had to tighten that Allen bolt to compress the spring enough to get the pin out and then to get it back in afterward and I still had to pry on it to get it back in. I had a tapered punch through the frame and into the end of the bushing on the end of the spring and pried it enough so I could start the pin into the bushing on the clevis. Take a picture of it with your phone before you start so you remember how it all goes back together and to roughly get the spring tension right.
