Bobcats returning to parts of Ohio

I spotted one in my backyard. She laid on my deck and took a nap.

Mahoning County 2019. One ran out in front of my car on a side road leading to the eastern side of SR 224. I caught it on my Garmin Dashcam. Very blurry image though as it was early morning driving to work in November with snow flurries and it darted across the road.

Saw a full grown bobcat outside of West Mansfield, Ohio 4/14/24

Hahaha. They been around for a very long time. Especially in highlandtown ohio! Used to go there fishing at the dam. Saw a mom with kittens.

i live washington county and the bobcat population is very dense. and the blck bear population is growing. heard talk of a female with cubs. i think the bear population is establed now season in 20 years.

Yeah, this isn't true. Bobcats have been where I live since the 80s (in Ohio btw). Just bc the odnr doesn't know about something doesn't make it "Almost nonexistent " 🤣😂 -- A Biologist, OSU science tutor, medical school candidate, and OSU graduate💫

Interesting! I'm from Southern Florida I lived with these things daily. I just moved back to Ohio maybe they hitched a ride in the back. They're going to attack your livestock with lightning speed btw😊
