Arriving At Clumber Park Caravan And Motorhome Club Site | Great North Road Tour Pt6

We spent two days at Clumber Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Site, arriving on Friday, on Saturday we went to Sherwood Forest to see The Major Oak, a very old oak tree, rumoured to be 1150 years old. We had a really nice meal at The Rose Cottage.

Soo enjoyable you all👍ooh now going back to that toilet that needs a repaint .....what a vlog that would make 😂 Flushed with success again !! Gotta say bob full marks on luck ..finding a turning circle at the start,people have no idea the problems towing a car can give by wrong sat nav instructions . We had to be extra care full having a tag axle ,but I did used to manage a reverse manover in desperate situations ,for a short way ......think my old skills of towing our cabin cruiser came in handy . Mmmmh funny these situations always came when I was driving ,it's as if other half just wanted to see a woman fail😕 My praise was always you did OK lovey 💘👍...believe me that really was praise . Catch you tomorrow lovely people 👍👏

Hi, we live in Edwinstowe, so was very interested in this video of Clumber, never been to the motor home and caravan park but it’s a lovely walk around Clumber Park itself with a lovely lake. The old Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre is now closed and they have built a brand new one on the opposite side of the Cricket pitch. The car park is now on the left hand side if you were coming towards Edwinstowe high street. There are some lovely little shops in Edwinstowe not biased at all ha ha x another great video.

Good video! There was a caravan and camping club site there as well at one time..it was in the walled garden..it closed when the National Trust wanted to restore the garden.

I remember when we first started Motor homing there was a C&CC site there too, we never got to stay there as it was closed when we looked at going there.

The entrance to the Camping and Caravanning Site was very tight. We stayed there once many years ago before we had a Motorhome

Bob, Did you run over a black cat, how unlucky can you get on one site, getting lost, toilet block closed, no wifi or phone signal, presume where you were parked no Satelite signal ? The wifi has just been upgraded and when we were there it was fine, we try and park at the back of the top toilet block and Satelite signal is ok, hence we always come here Monday or Tuesday's outside school holidays ! This is one of our favourite sites and we know it well . I think the only thing you mist out on is getting locked in the National Trust part where they lock the gates at dusk. Don't let all this put you off, it could only get better !

Colin Humphries The electricity went off as we left too. So no water anywhere on the site. Think they were trying to get rid of us.
