We stayed at Rosemarie twice on our Scottish tour last year (2020) and didn’t see a single dolphin. The warden said that sometimes they don’t appear for a couple of weeks then suddenly reappear, so we were unlucky and will have to go back and try again. We had a brilliant pitch on the front row over the beach, fantastic view, really quiet just the sound of the waves lapping the pebbles.

Hi both. Thank you for a lovely vlog - a real taste of home. We were on the Black Isle in June as part of our 50th Anniversary Tour, based at the Camping and Caravanning Club site at Dingwall, which by the way , is well worth a visit. Spent time at Avoch, Rosemarkie and Cromarty and were lucky enough to have the same sort of weather as you had in the vlog - superb! Really enjoyed the video, and it revived some lovely memories of our tour this year. Will certainly go again. Glad the car issue turned out to be relatively simple to sort out. Enjoy your trip and travel safe. Cheers. George and Trish - CaravanningMacs

There were dolphins when we went to Channory Point but it was completely gridlocked! Had to turf the kids out to see while I stayed with the car. Loving all your Scotland videos. We’re back up there next month and can’t wait! 😀

Been to the Rosemarkie campsite several times, its one of those places you never want to leave. You need to book well in advance, its very popular! We had a pitch on the front one year, went to sleep with the sound of the waves, its a beautiful spot.
@BobEarnshawMoHo3 жыл бұрын
Yes, want to go there next year.
@jillcurtis89103 жыл бұрын
We have been to Rosemarkie so many times. There are a couple of negatives to be aware of, you can get a lot of joy riders driving up and down and one year we had our Electric disconnected in the night if you are on the side facing the road. Also its very windy there at times, but having said that we have had some of our best holidays there when our Daughter was young and we went with friends

Best time to see the dolphins at Chanonry Point is from low tide until about 2 hours after as the tide starts to come it. We once hired a cottage at South Ballachulish and had to drive there for a 7.45am low tide! It was worth it!!

Once again thanks for the very nice drive and awesome scenery, shame the dolphins never showed up!!!!! And the battery died on the way home... Must ask a question, is there a fine to owners who don't keep their hedges clipped and in good shape? as all the ones shown are so perfect....Lol.

Ah yes the dolphins 🐬!!! We stayed at Rosemarkie and had worked out the right tide time to see the dolphins. As I am wheelchair disabled we arrived in good time and I waited at the top of the shingle beach as the chair couldn’t venture further without sinking. However a with good view of the water. One or two people were watching out. . Then up went a shout as in the distance came the dolphins and then all these people seemed to come from nowhere charged past my wheelchair and ran to the shoreline. Lots of excitement and oooh’s and ahhh’s as the dolphins displayed in all their glory. All I could do was listen and use my imagination as to what they could see. The people were at least 5 deep and I couldn’t see round them or over them !!! 😂😂
