Hi Bob a great video as ever and you can really see how motorhome design has evolved over the years and also construction to me I can see strengths and weaknesses in the new and old equally but some great vans for people

I like the new Auto-trail Excel range something for everyone there surely? Only have two minor gripes, there appears to be only one 13 amp socket in the kitchen and the shower curtains in the washrooms with the exception of the 675B which has the best washroom full width across at the back. A great choice for a couple loads of storage and no electric dropdown bed to go wrong.

One thing AutoTrail do well is lockers, you get loads of storage. Absolutely love my F60.

I liked the "Hot and Cold BBQ Point" on the Apache ;) . Nice to see you looking at the older vans - I have a 2007 Model Autotrail Cheyenne with just 115,000 miles on the clock and still solid as a rock. The Autotrail interiors of that era are so solid!

I think the prices rises have slowed down, along with inflation.

Looking at a panel van I do like this stealth look terrain tyres etc u shape lounge just myself am I better of buying a good used one and best places to look thanks

Best places to look are reputable dealers like Todds. Look for vans by a trusted or well known converter. New vans will normally have a three year warranty, but used are obviously cheaper.

I think that the decision not fit tie down points is deliberate. Unlike in a car, the right kind of fittings are easy to drill and fit….. not into the exterior wall of course.

What is this fascination about "Oh lovely black alloys" !! Yes they do look lovely but they are a nightmare to keep clean.

Yes, tend to agree with that, they are a pain and I'm not keen on using alloy wheel cleaner where paint is involved.

A particular problem with the 6.3m campers is the reduced payload when plated at 3500kg, which they almost always are. The 6m converted vans tend to have ~ 550 kg payload and 6.3m often down to 400 Kg making them inappropriate for 4 berth, which often they are marketed as. Panel vans are surprisingly heavy compared with the usually larger coachbuilt conversions. Sorry, just a long term gripe and nothing to do with your great videos.
