I love Peter Tosh as well, and I've watched this hundreds of times and if you look at Peter's hands . I'm not sure this was actually recorded live or they just lip singing... This is not an easy solo by any means, and I know for a fact that Wayne Perkins recorded the original solo as well as Concrete Jungle and Baby we gotta date( apparently he came up with this beautiful melodies on the spot and in one take) So yeah hard to tell... anyone has an definite answer??

Interestingly, that is only mostly true, because today I learned that they are singing to a backingtrack, prerecorded by producer Chris Blackwell, and the wah wah guitar is not Peter or Bob, but a legendary white guitarist from Alabama named Wayne Perkins, who had worked with many great artists. He is on 3 tracks of the Catch a Fire album, and this recording, and he did an amazing job. But yeah, all of The Wailers are gone now sadly :(
