@@beninchina drinking much less, eating much better, and much less down, emotionally. In the time since the comment, I even managed to get a fishing trip in with my dad, and we laughed together to these clips and others. That's no joke. He's always been an advocate for my bettering. Thanks for asking, I did not intend at all to beg for attention with the initial comment.

wow. paul heaton singing to bob unreal. my dad is 80 and his never really heard of these two until i made a point of of him watching them from the 1st series which we both watch together and ive never seen him laugh so much in my life,. my mum passed away 2 years ago near xmas so its still raw for us but to see him laugh is unreal , the faces bob pulls is unreal and whitehouse moaning all the time , its real old school comedy .my dad is now thier biggest fans from watching vic and bobs big night out to the fast show.... cheers guys.

How was this not all in the show?? It's Christmas, the News doesn't need to be half an hour. In fact the world might be a better place if the News was limited to ten minutes a day and the rest of the news slots were full of Gone Fishing! Or maybe this was all shown and I was already slumped in a calorie coma? Or maybe it's 3:45am and I'm dreaming this whole thing... in which case I don't want to wake up. Glorious!

Me and my best friend both late 20’s.. talk daily about this programme and have bought tickets to see them in Lincoln this summer! Never have we ever seen a programme make you smile, cry, laugh and think so much whilst being so peaceful! To top the whole thing off the award ceremony was filmed at the Waterloo social club in blyth, right around the corner from where we live.. when we seen they had filmed there during watching the Christmas episode we both could have cried! Unbelievable Paul and Bob will live forever!

I was so looking forward to this Christmas special and I wasn’t disappointed. Bob and Paul are absolutely brilliant and I just wish they made future series quicker than they do. Both true gents and British treasures. Its lovely to see a genuine friendship and how much they mean to each other but mostly who knew I could ever find a programme with fishing in interesting 😂😂. Also a bonus to have Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott singing on this episode. I loved the Housemartins and Beautiful South and Paul’s voice has remained brilliant over the years.

And Bob /whitehouse gone fishing is again the most under valued program on tele !! In these times !!!
