They're prey animals, trying to catch or trap them (being held) when they haven't chosen to be on your lap or don't feel safe being picked up will always make them more afraid. Building trust takes time, sensitivity and effort on the human's part. Also, some rabbits can't ever be held like in this video. Technically, it's not a very safe hold; I have 28 years experience handling rabbits and I rarely use it, even though I know how to stop a rabbit who bolts from this position. I've also had multiple rabbits who let me know they were *only* comfortable with the "football" hold, under my arm. You have to find what's comfortable for your rabbit, and respect that it's about what makes the bunny feel safe, not what makes the human happy.

Three months is very short period of time. She’ll come to you one day. Let her come to you. I used to just sit next to him (no petting unless if he wants it). I just sit and read a book, or eat salad on the floor with him (separate plates oc), or nap near each other, etc. there’s lots of things you can do beside holding a bunny. I don’t hold him for a long time either. Usually less than 30 seconds in the pictures. So no need to feel jealous. 🤗

With rabbits you have to slowly earn their trust. It's very different from cats or dogs. First don't touch or chase, just spend lots of time sitting on the floor near them where they can hop up to you and sniff you if they want to. Feed them on the floor and sit near them while they eat. Eventually you can get them used to petting by petting their nose and head while they eat. If they hop away, don't keep petting and don't chase them. It's all about earning their trust. Good luck!

Some bunnies just aren't cuddly. The one I have now does not like to be held or pet. She does like it when I lie on the floor next to her and kiss her face tho. I use to have a bunny who went completely limp in my arms and would drool on me because she would relax so deeply into me...just depends on the bunny, they are all individuals. 🥰
