One of the best mounts money can buy. I own several and love them. Cant beat the price.

If you're shooting with a S&B, why not just top it off with a Spuhr?
@doug12744 жыл бұрын
Why? Do you think the Spuhr would have done any better than the Bobro? I don't see how it could have. Spuhrs are great, but so is Bobro. Bobro costs considerably less.

That's some awesome shooting by you Marcus, but it's equally silly that a mount keeps zero that well!? I might need to check them out for my BCM AR-15, I've been meaning to upgrade from the bulky one I have.

They don’t last long. I bought into the hype and put Bobros on everything and every single mount went to crap under 1000 rounds. They have this springy recoil lug thing that helps the mount return to zero and also to *maintain* zero. Over repeated firing cycles this lug begins to shrink and the mount itself will no longer hold zero. Mind you that’s not a typo, it will not *hold* zero once that lug shrinks, whatever you have it mounted on becomes a shotgun. I would avoid any Bobro mount, at least for semis. I have no used them on a bolt gun so maybe they would be ok.

@@rifleshooterchannel208 wait seriously? I was considering to move from ADM to this on my mk12 and you are surprising me with this
@rifleshooterchannel2082 жыл бұрын
@@RangeKimTactical Unfortunately it’s a pretty well documented problem. Two Bobros on ACOG TA-33s failed in this manner, as did the one on my Aimpoint ML3. All of the mounts were replaced by Bobro in about a week with new models but I sold them right away and bought different stuff. One of the TA-33s was on a SCAR so it was able to work perfectly with a quick detach GDI 4x32 ACOG that would otherwise put it too low on an AR-15 but placed the smaller 3x30 TA-33 ACOG at the perfect height on the SCAR. The second TA-33 was traded for a TA-01NSN that now sits in a non-QD Geissele mount and the Aimpoint’s Bobro was replaced with ADM with turned out to be a slightly more crude feeling but vastly more solid QD mount that gave me no issues whatsoever. It’s been a few years and maybe Bobro has beefed up their recoil lug things or fixed it some other way but based on my past experiences I don’t think I would ever buy or recommend Bobro.

I would interested in what temperature changes do to re-mounting the mount. mount a zero in 60 degree weather and then re-mount at 90-100 degrees. Test accuracy. Vise versa.
@marcushom67895 жыл бұрын
I doubt it would have a noticeable impact at that minor of temperature swings.

Another good video. Id like to see these tests done @ 3-500y instead
@marcushom67895 жыл бұрын
At 3-500 atmospherics (wind) would be the driving contributor to zero shift versus the mechanical properties of the mount.
