As a Christian, im glad you are able to see his wholesomeness.. but it is because God worked in his life to help him become a man he wanted to be. Without God, we are all lost, and create our own moralities. It is precicely his faith, and sharing of his faith.. using his gifts for the glory of God, through his principals that you are seeing this. If you are tired, christ tells us to come to him, and he will give us rest. Maybe you should pray, and spend more time with the creator who made you, and you will see, that his way, above our way is what is best for our souls. Bob Ross's character is formed by his relationship to God. It is God who should get the glory, not us, although we can glory with him.

The thing is is that it's not random at all. It's an understanding of what certain techniques do, and what you're trying to achieve with the painting. It takes YEARS of hard work and constant painting to reach Ross' level, but remember, it's never just random strokes.

Perhaps what goes often unnoticed or at least unappreciated in Bob’s work is that he’s a master in what not to do. He makes it look so effortless, but it’s because he’s avoiding 10,000 amateur mistakes with each stroke that any beginner would make.

Used to watch him with my kids, now as a retired nurse during Covid he is back in my life teaching me techniques (never oil painted before but did acrylics, will not go back to them) In past 3 months I have done 50 landscaped paintings of Northern Ontario beauty spots and sold many both at shows and on line! But to give HEAVENLY or SAINTLY attributes to a tv personality, even though he speaks softly and loves little critters, IS JUST PLAIN IDIOTIC. Here are some of the human beings in show business that I respect and admire are: Chef JACQUES PEPIN ( he is a soft spoken gentleman like BOB ROSS, comedian ROBIN WILLIAMS, God rest his soul, comedian TOM DREESEN, actress RUTH GORDON, God rest her soul, actor MICHAEL DOUGLAS, singer JOAN BAEZ, singer JOHN DENVER, God rest his soul, singer/actress BARBRA STREISAND, opera star LUCIANO PAVAROTTI, God rest his soul, Japanese sumo wrestlers HAKUHO and TOCHINOSHIN, sportscaster VIN SCULLY and tv painter BOB ROSS. However absolutely NONE of the above can be considered saintly, " embodiments of Heaven " or have the deifying attributes you ppl heap on poor, dead from paint thinner fumes BOB ROSS.
