Awesome video, very informative, step by step. When you said that rather than driving to the destination post office you could ship it there, where/who would you be shipping it to? Can you send out postcard for very far locations? We are in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida but want to send mailings all over the state, thanks in advance!

thank you!!! you'd ship directly to the post office that the eddm routes tell you to (you can see them when you pick routes at eddm.usps.com). YOu send it to the postmaster there. We send them to every state all the time, even hawaii! doesn't matter. I even send out my own eddm's locally rather than drive to the post offices because it's not worth fihting traffic, taking time, waiting in line, bringing in the mailers, etc.

Hi, I watched your video and I am glad I did. I am struggling to promote my business during the pandemic and almost giving up until I sam you. I am thinking to do a test mailing campaign but I don’t have that much budget. I spoke a couple of direct mailing company and they will do all the leg work including my post cards and mailing list but I found out it’s too expensive. thank you Rigo, sorry I just saw this comment! Yes absolutely but you can actually do them all with just your regular free account now. They made the permit mailings more expensive believe it or not. I have a video specifically on sending them out of state!!

thanks Karriann! There definitely is some more complexity but it's totally do-able. It'll take you about 8 mailings to recoup the cost ($265 setup + $265 yearly) so you'd have to weigh if that's worth it for you. I'd say that maybe not right now but consider it in a few months. If you're going to keep doing them all year then the math definitely will make sense to do it. Beside the cost though ... I will help you with the "how-to" so don't worry about that.

Are these LOW .168 rates available for a 6x9 variable printed data (customer names and addresses)? I assume EDDM just says Current Resident...the neighborhood I'm interested in targeting has a weird route so these direct variable addresses are what I was planning on doing. (and sending to 1,000+ addresses)

How do you print the address and postage onto the card? I did all this without it and the post office told me I needed it already set up. I was under the impression they would do that for me. I am very confused; will you please explain how this works? I would greatly appreciate it :)

Hey Sean! I give the best prices I can and that you should be able to find anywhere. 500 is a pretty low mailing number, usually routes are more than that, are you sure your route is only 500?

6.5x9, 6x11, 6.5x 12, 8.5x11, 9x12, 11x14, and 12x15 are ALL eddm compliant for every post office in america. What exactly is your local office telling you?

if you go to tools.usps.com/find-location.htm you can look up where the closest one is that has a "business mail entry unit". Your local one most likely does so you won't have to go very far. The process is very quick, just fill out the form and they'll process it that day or next day latest. Good luck!

Hi Richard, you have to put a specific EDDM marking on the postcard design so it prints together with them. You can always email me your artwork if you want and I'll make sure it's on there properly.
