Dielectric Union Water Heater - By installing dielectric unions on your water heater you could avoid premature corrosion. In combination with dielectric nipples on the water supply and hot water outlet, you could add years of life by simply using dielectric unions.
NOTE: Although both the New York and I.P.C. Codes state brass pipe is an acceptable way to connect to a Water Heater. My personal opinion is that for a few extra bucks, you'll have a trouble-free lifelong connection!
Happy Plumbing!
