Grandissimo come sempre!!!!!

I use an industrial UV lamp, with its own transformer. Make sure that you wear goggles that block the dangerous bands of UV. UV-C and UV-A are worse than UV-B, according to the literature. There are also penetrating sprays that can reveal tiny cracks in any material (the crack will fluoresce under UV-A), but you need to shop carefully. However, cracking on nitrocellulose finishes is natural.

Why do the older guitars glow more brightly under the UV light?
@BobsToneReview7 ай бұрын
Hi Andrew, possibly you would need more scientific advice than I can provide. The rule of thumb is that older materials or finishes received more radiation from sunlight and glow more intensely under black light; there are plenty of exceptions though.

Can i use UV light to Relic / age nitro laquered guitars?

Hello Russel, exposing fresh nitro finish to direct sunlight will work much better.

The number of genuine vintage guitars is increasing, because so many millions of guitars have been made in the last 60 years.
@BobsToneReview4 жыл бұрын
Hello Samba C,, as I say in the last episode, for "Vintage guitars" we usually mean guitars built during the 50 years from the mid 1920's to the mid 1970's so "increasing number" is supposed to be a nonsense.
@sambac20534 жыл бұрын
@@BobsToneReview I understand that , none the less, more guitars are becoming vintage. Many 70s Japanese copies of classic American guitars are excellent instruments , steadily climbing in price, for instance.The insane collectibility of certain instruments that has the best ones in vaults, as investments not in the hands of player is a tragedy.

This guy comes across as an SNL - parody. All you need is a small curly UV bulb you can get at Home Depot or Lowes. It has to be fluorescent or it doesn't work. I collect Vaseline glass and use it for the same reason. I am going to look at all of my vintage - original and refinned - guitars tonight.
