I'm with ya--pre-bought one locally, the silly local Rolex dealer has literally NOTHING on the shelves (dummy watches only), but they ordered me one (GMT Root beer), and then surprise! called me to pick it up--I was shattered when I realized that their crappy looking pink gold 'everose' has been become the standard. Yuck. Pass! I did pick up a gorgeous two-tone rootbeer from Ken at Wanna Buy a Watch, and it is to die for...also, love the jubilee band. Take care, see ya, s

The dial on the RootBeer GMT II vintage-with the sunburst dial-has the most appeal to me.

This is my favourite Rolex. The recent remake just doesn't match the original, mainly the lack of the jubilee bracelet(which I think really suits this watch), also the different lighter colour for the bezel.
