It is also true in real life in regards to paying out of your own pockets if you don’t meet the quota for a booked gig. This is why it takes a lot of determination (money) and perseverance (money) if you are starting out as a new band. Equipments are already not cheap. Imagine not meeting the quota for each booked show you play on top of that

This dice game is a famous Japanese talk show (no longer available) in which the dice have a theme on them and you talk about the theme. As is customary, after the dice are rolled, the host says an improvised abbreviation for the theme, which is then recited by the audience.

kinda reminds me of when I used to do the bar in our local youth centre when there where concerts. I got free backstage passes and could see all the bands I wanted. just had to man the bar it was such a nice time I really enjoyed it. I helped get the stage ready hang out with the bands one time when there was a band that I really liked I even recived a signed CD of theirs for free. only downside I did this for free. I collected bottles to earn the bus money so I could ride the bus home if I did not get enough tips.... I personally identify a bit more with Ryo as I can interact with people but prefer to not. I'm also often seen as a weirdo and stuff but I enjoyed working the bar back then

@@verified_tinker1818 Way to think of it I think is in NE Asia drinking and getting wasted is like...something older people do. It's not relaly "mature" or "cool" when your cliche of being wasted is a drunk-ass salaryman I geuss.

Turns out that while the drinking age is pretty set at 20yo in Japan, there's no actual rules on how old you have to be to serve alcohol. So while Bocchi is 15 and Nijika is 17 at this point in the story, they can just serve whatever alcohol is there. The big limit is time. Minors can't work past 10pm, regardless of what they're doing, turns out.
