I got to meet Alexi at a guitar store for an ESP night a few years ago. He's such a genuine dude and I love it! First thing he did after the meet and greet and photos, grabs himself a slice of pizza and a beer, turns around to me and my mate and asks, "So have you guys seen The Big Lebowski?". And then we just chilled out eating pizza and talking shit for like an hour. I love this little legend of shred!!!

I remember seeing this a few months ago, as well as the other few shows they did in Finland around that time. I was so excited to hear how great Alexi sounded as well as the band. He seemed sober, healthier, and was playing better than I had heard in 15 years. It was as though he had spent this last year practicing with a metronome, going over all the tough parts and getting them super tight again. I was so excited and happy to see the video from these few shows. And then to hear of him dying... I mean maybe he really had something terrible going on, we may never know. But it seemed like after finally getting his playing back super tight, and he looked healthier at least.... I am just constantly asking myself what the hell happened in two months? Maybe we will never know, it’s up to his family obviously. I was just so shocked and so sad.

I was thinking that same thing. I saw him in 2019 during the Hexed tour. He souded decent, had the crowd going insane, but the way he's playing here is just on another level completely when compared to 2019. Damn shame because you can see that he's so in synch here with the new band. Rest in Paradise, Alexi! Edit: Not that it matters but I too heard Follow the Reaper when I was 14. @@Malice_In_Orange_County I read that Alexi had gone years without realizing he had a broken collar bone. After getting that fixed, he had to relearn how to play somewhat. This brings a tear to my eye just watching it. I first seen all the performances of this show when they debuted, and was in awe on how tight they all sounded, and how fiercely his attack on his leads were. By far the best any of the old material has sounded in over 15 years. But now that I look at him playing, you can see how winded he looks half way through, and you can see that he’s probably in some form of physical pain. Gahhh this is too much for me to handle right now. I owe the majority of my guitar abilities to him, and the fact that I ever pushed myself as a musician.....I’m lost...fuck...

So surreal. It was a huge shock for me too. Im happy that i saw cob at least 1 time live. And i hope bodom after midnight will go on, that would be great, if these songs will keeped be playing.

Crazy. Definitely doesn't look like he's near death. Insane how life works out. R.i.p. always will be one of my favorite songs by them, I still remember hearing it for the first time.

Clicked to see what it sounded like but I couldn't leave till it was done cause of how it sounded... I'm not even a COB fan really just feel for Alexi's fans right now... at least he gave you all this! This doesn't sound like a second rate side project, this sounds like a legit band expertly resurrecting an older style of music for a new era. This is fuckin solid.

He was kicked out his own band but he wrote 90% of the music and obviously didn't want to stop. They play a lot of old songs to cater to their fans.

I am angry and sad that such a wonderful powerhouse of music has been taken away from us. He was one of my favorite musicians and his music helped me get through tough times. Wonder what the fuck happened in three months!! @everyone, please take care of your health. Stay safe !!! RIP Wildchild!! :(
