Body Armor installed on Jeep Yj!!!!!

On this episode, I bring you along with the installation of some body armor on the Jeep. This consists of rock sliders and rear corner guards. A close up look of these products.

Those are not rock sliders. Sliders are attached to the frame and protect the body and are able to support the weight of the vehicle. Yours are fastened to the body and not the frame. If you land on a rock with those, it will cause damage vertically tot he side of the vehicle. Your guards will only protect from dings.

Yo Fish, you make a good point, these will only do so much. The damage can be severe with these as I seen on other Jeepers. Maybe down the line I may switch it up. Thanks for your comment 👍 🙏

I cut that off but put it back into the mushroom cap no reason to leave it out has no effect on anything if you put the slider between the cap and the lower rubber bushing

Those corner guards and rock sliders look dope! If u don’t mind what brand of guards and rock sliders were they? I would like to buy some for my yj

Hey Carl, I purchased a set of Paramount corner guards but they seem to not have these available for Jeep Yj's on Amazon. There are other options such as smittybilt. As for the rock sliders there are some EAG brand on Amazon that would fit on YJ's.

Ruben you will definitely have fun building your jeep. I actually have the 4.2 carbuerated engine. The gears are still stock at the moment but I plan to swap the rear axle in the near future. At the moment I'm running 33s but I will be moving up to 35s

@Issy, you are right, it looks like the seller on Amazon has disappeared. The next similar product would be the Smittybilt rock sliders that do look the same but those seem to be out of stock on Amazon. Its strange that they sold out completely for Jeep Yj.

Gonzo- I got both of these products on Amazon . Rocksliders are CAREPAIR brand and the corner guards are Paramount Restyling brand
