I feel like every single officer there was very well trained. They were not only extremely respectful and kind to each other, but to the suspect as well. They were really professional and thorough. It's just nice to see an entire group of officers who aren't acting angry and aggressive towards anyone. None of them had a huge ego. That was refreshing. Whoever hired and trained these officers has done a great job. 👍🏻✌🏻 This video should be used as a training video for other departments to learn how to conduct themselves.

I like dave, guy starts usinf a fire extinguisher and dave calmly just watches and speaks nicely. A lot of other officers would be ducking for cover pulling out weapons and yelling about suspect acting suspicious and obstructing their vision of the possibly armed suspect. Dave is such a calm person before and after the struggle 🫡

I’m from the UK and police are totally different here and usually I can’t stand US cops with the whole “pull a gun out and scream at the the suspect as loud as you can” attitude but credit to these guys, they handled the situation perfectly. Aggression and intimidation solves nothing. Hats off to these dudes, well done guys. Much love.

Even after Crazy Dave attacked the officer trying to help him, the officer continued to refer to Crazy Dave as "Bud..." and talked in a relaxed tone as he spoke with Crazy Dave. The officer CD attacked had every right to go ballistic on this jerk, but he didn't. Exemplary restraint! I couldn't have been so cool and collected as this officer. Hat's off to this police officer, he's one of the good ones. Glad to have him in our neck of the woods. (I don't live in Layton but in the SLC area)

The man with the dog who helped the policeman get the suspect under control should have been given a ride or gotten an Uber, free of charge, because the bus chaos caused him to not arrive at his destination when he should have. The other people waiting to be picked up will wait awhile too. I've been on that end of the public transportation chaos in that the bus picking me up would be late or not arrive at all, it sucks.

@@user-qo1fb2rt6g That stinks! Before I (quite recently) got a car, I had to rely on my boyfriend, which meant cutting into his work day, or using Lyft. The Lyft fees started getting very expensive, I once paid $20 to go four miles! I'm on disability but my Medicare plan doesn't include ride services, no plan in my county does for Medicare. I also have MediCal which is the same as Medicaid. The benefits I get for that are quite limited & don't include ride benefits either. I understand where uou are coming from on the transportation deal, I cannot walk to the bus stop as it's too far but I used the bus system to get to & from work when I was younger.

Do you know why they’re there? I found out at a convention in Salt Lake City that they get services there more readily because the population actually cares aboutthem. Additionally, other municipalities, dump them on one-way bus tickets to SLC. So it gets rid of someone else’s problem, but ends up being Utah’s.

Little background on this guy, Keith Sterling Frandsen, based on the reports I've read: He's 36...rough looking 36 but okay. Anyways, he was apparently on probation for other violent crimes, including trying to disarm another officer and attacking a dude with a dowel off of a chair. This event was apparently started when he huffed some air duster. Clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed, but definitely a tool lol. Dude deserves to be in jail for a nice long time in my opinion. Glad the people around helped out, the cop could have been seriously hurt!
