Body changes before labor starts

Im 36 weeks. This past week ive been experiencing braxton hicks, constant back pain, and i do mean CONSTANT, nausea, pelvic pressure, multiple bowel movements a day, and even more frequent pee breaks than i already was. I also find that i am outrageously thirsty. I am in so much pain it brings me to tears. I am so ready for this baby to get here.

I lost my mucus plug and went into labor and delivered in less then an hour. I barely made it to the hospital. So the mucus thing is different for everyone.

With #3 I lost my plug at 37 weeks and my water broke 2 hours later. With #5 I thought it was just Braxton Hicks and went to bed. Woke up leaking fluid. My contractions were irregular when I was on the monitor but I was dilated 4-5. Definitely in labour.

Ive had some ramped up braxton hicks for the last week and the baby has dropped and engaged. I can barely sleep because of the pelvic pain and pressure this week. Shes dropped earlier this month but she turned back up and the pelvic pain was never this bad. I havent been able to get a cervix check since I had covid in the last 3 weeks. a month and a half ago I was 1cm dilated. Im really hoping she comes soon bc I cant handle this constant lack of sleep/pain in my pelvis any longer.

This is my first pregnancy and it wasn't planned and I'm 31 weeks pregnant I have eight weeks to go and because when I was a teenager and sixteen years old my left pelvis was fractured I have to be at the hospital two weeks before my due date that's May 12th I'm not sure what the sex is for my baby because he or she wants to be stubborn and I'm not showing much because I didn't know until I was 25 weeks pregnant with not having any pregnancy symptoms is why I didn't know

Having flu like symptoms, crampy and nauseated for the last 3 day's, Diarrhea for the last 2 day's, drinking and laying down and it feel's different. lightening feeling, extra tired than normal. String like light yellow mucus coming out with almost every wipe. No smell. I took something for nausea but nothing is helping. I did have covid 1 month ago but this feel's different. But found out that I was 2 cm and after being told I was 2 cm. 4 day's later, I am now 3cm. 0% effaced so hopefully this baby comes before next Thursday. I'm scheduled to be induced. So if you are still pregnant. Don't fret. Take your time and enjoy it while it lasts. Been taking advantage of nap's and it's great! Lol I'm going to miss sleep but not being pregnant. Lol

This is kind of off subject but what does it mean if you never have BH or Contractions? My second didn't come until he was 42 weeks and that was only by induction. I had no signs of labor before going to the hospital. I was 36 then. Now im 39 and 37 weeks pg and yet again no BH or signs, so they're planning on inducing me at 39 weeks. So.. Is it an age thing? If so, what goes wrong to where we don't get them without a medical intervention? Thanks in advance.

Some women carry their babies longer naturally, and due dates aren't an exact science. For example, Ina May wrote about a woman who carried all her babies until 45 weeks, all came into the world big and healthy. Also, your body's cycles might be a couple weeks longer than average, so at 40 weeks you may actually only be say 38 in reality.

36, then 39 you go Lady ! I can’t imagine being pregnant past 34 - this is my last baby I’m 34 😅, definitely age is a factor from my experience- first four were before 25 and now that I’m 33 this has been the hardest pregnancy I’ve gone through. Good luck and best wishes if you go for another.

@@mckenzieannabelle water doesn’t help it just fills me up. Then makes me feel sick, I can keep it in though. Now more than ever I’m more exhausted but I can’t sleep at night due to the Braxton Hicks, really bad back pains, and the baby kicking like crazy. I literally sleep at 4-5am to then wake up at 7:30 due to my oldest virtual learning. So while she’s doing that I take a nap on the couch. It’s stressful and exhausting. Now my health condition got worse in which I have to take diomox. I’m on my 5th day on it and it makes me go to the bathroom a lot, all the medication does is help with my iih and papilledema but I know there still can be some risks to the baby. I don’t even understand this pregnancy. My first two was so smooth and this one is a real challenge.

Hi Super Space Bunny - small amounts of brown discharge is probably old blood and a possible sign that your cervix is changing/preparing for labor. This is not usually a concern; however, I recommend consulting with your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Congratulations 🎊 I am due the 6th! However I am already feeling some of this! Lightning and all kinds of Braxton Hicks which I know are normal But if I am still pregnant at 39 weeks we will get to have an elective induction so less then 3 weeks now! I go this Friday two days to see if he is still head down and have my first cervical check as well! Can’t wait to see if I am dilated at all! You can do it all natural I did 17 years ago with daughter!! She came super fast tho I slept through all my early labor was 8cm when I got to the hospital!
