This is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. It blows my mind that the caterpillar spins its cocoon on the wasps, then protects it until it starves to death. The exoskeletons of the larvae fills up the wounds/holes of the caterpillar when they get out. Also, the caterpillars keep behaving normally while being infested with the larvae, thus eating. The larvae come all out at once!

I thought the caterpillar died from the hatching of these little chestbusters. I wasn't aware of the part when it protected them from predators like "these are my babies, keep away!" They should have added this feature in the Alien franchise movies.
