Rat rods and patina are one thing, his car, his choices. Like someone said, the pointing and snickers get old fast. I would at least hit with the color match all over, my opinion only , I think that it will be sweet to drive when she's looking finished to near factory.

I love the ratty patina look...can’t wait to see the paint go on...and then the tricks you use to take it off in all the right places. Everybody has their opinions about what you should do, but for me, your style is right up my alley. Go with your gut...you’ve been knockin’ them out of the park with each build. Love watching your work...

I see you're putting fiberglass over your quarter panel welds before using filler. Good idea. So many videos I see where this isn't done. Glad to see it. Really strengthens the repair.
@kennethlaw5216
@kennethlaw5216 3 жыл бұрын
From what I get from body work channels its not just to strengthen the repair. Bondo doesn't last when it gets wet. So if you have a pin hole in your body work and moisture gets through there it will damage the bondo and after a while all the body work you did was for nothing. The fiberglass isn't affected by this so it seals it before you put the bondo on.

Dan do not listen to those that knock your bodywork , I have been around a lot of shops that do body work and you don't cut corners like a lot shops do that are doing flips for a quick sale or trade where they cover up rust, dents, and bad paint with screen wire, drywall mix, or tape. You build a strong foundation for your cars so they will last. So if anyone wants to do 10.000 paint job later it will be on good workmanship underneath. nuf said be Proud.
