As mentioned below, the official music video really expresses the feeling of the song. You would enjoy it. I had heard a person who explained they interpreted the song as from the view of a soldier who is lamenting the loss of his fellow soldiers, surrounded by death, and the hopelessness of being in war.

The song is actually about the band Rammstein themselves. Till wrote this song after the band almost broke up. They even do therapy sessions to talk about themselves and get over problems. Now every member says they would do anything for each other.

That's not the proper version. The official album version is better. This version is too harsh and not refined. This is demo or something. Also the official music video is perfect for the song and should be seen.

This is so awesome!! I actually just found this beta version myself and I love it!! Thank you so much for reacting to this version 😍 These guys are dedicated to the group and to each other ohne dich was written after they almost broke up.. it explains that they all stick together..nothing gets passed unless all 6 agree...if someone is having problems they will postpone whatever they are doing to help that person..these 6 men have known each other in one way or another since before Rammstein was formed in 1994. The same 6 have been together ever since..never a replacement or change in lineup.

@@CavHDeu yes..I made another comment..i thought it was here? But i read where while they were recording the Mutter album that there was one song (no one knows which) where Till wrote 24 different lyrics before all 6 agreed and the song was finally put on the album..😍💕

Oh wow. That was an interesting version of the song. Which is one of my favourite songs by the way. Regarding your interpretation of the lyrics, nothing to add. They were spot on👌. I'm curious, which version do you prefer more regarding the instrumental choice? This one or the final version? Let us know, ok? I prefer the final one. It's heavier and richer in sound. The orinal-Version of this Song is a littel bit slower and acoustically (especially the end part) different. One on the Best power ballad of this Band. Whatch this live, then you can see Till's vocal talent

This one is actually the "original" version, it was supposed to be on Mutter but they ditched it as they already had Mutter as a slow song.

I'll stick with it, even though some will disagree with me once again, for me the song is about how someone describes their drug addiction. "I can't be without you" and " with you I'm also alone". "Without you I count the hours" and " with you the seconds. They are not worth it".

Still saying you should listen to Puhdys "Wut will nicht sterben". Just look up "puhdys wut will nicht sterben, english" for a version that has the english as well as German lyrics.

This beta version is - I'd say - inferior to the original one, which featured increasing emotional load at each chorus. This version starts with the strongest one and doesn't go any further - and, in my opinion, that decreases the emotions.

don't get me wrong I really appreciate u taking ur time to understand the lyrics (especially when seeing others reacting) but sometimes u do overinterprete a bit ^^ wich is basically a good thing, developing theories can always lead up to some great new thought but sometimes it's just a song u have to absorb and feel ... u should really watch ze video to zis song ... oh and the video to Sonne
