Now that Anna is sharing her food. I get why she hasn't lost that much weight despite exercising and being on weight loss medication. She is eating extremely calorie dense meals. That one meal had a ton of oil, cheese, heavy cream. And her portion size was twice what it should be. and I guarantee she is going back for seconds. As her body weight is extremely large, she probably does have a higher TDEE, but she will eventually need to learn to eat smaller portions and less calorie dense foods.

Anna being 40 and learning basic cooking just sums up this generation of young adults. Back in the day a chubby grandma was chubby because she was an amazing cook, she would bake, cook roast dinners weekly, make fresh meals from real ingridients...now our chubby people don't even know how to cook, they order everything and get premade meals. Cooking needs to come back to western schools.

I'm 67. When I showed some interest in learning to cook,(a teen), my mom would shoo me from the kitchen. When I was 18 and left home I barely knew how to boil water, so embarrassing. It was only after the babies came that I taught myself basics. I refused to raise my kids on fast food crap.

I do think it would be useful to have basic cooking courses mandatory for all students. Even like super basic would be helpful, and it's not like that isn't educational, cooking has a lot of science involved in it. Making healthy, good tasting food is really not all that complicated, a lot of people just don't have a good model of what that looks like and find it overwhelming to get started. It also requires some lifestyle adjustment for some, because you may need to make more effort cooking at home than if you're regularly eating junk or fast food. it doesn't need to be a ton of effort though, boil/simmer a bag of lentils, season them up and you'll easily have a nutritionally dense carb+protein source (plus lots of fiber!) for the next 5 days. depending on your requirements I suppose, I am a bit of a small girl at 5'3 and 105lbs so I eat 150g of lentils per portion and a bag will easily stretch 5 days, and they're genuinely dirt cheap so even if you're eating more than me, it still will cost you pretty much nothing. Tofu is an inexpensive decent source of protein, I only eat it baked because I'm able to crisp it up super well and that's the only way I like it lol. I also eat a lot of greek yogurt, it's a huge staple for me and generally inexpensive but very convenient. Even something like progresso chicken noodle soup is fine, the downside is the sodium content but generally if you drink a good amount of water and aren't eating other sodium heavy foods that day, it's fine. A mixture of healthy home cooked meals and decent processed foods can take some of the pressure off and dosen't compromise your health.

Have been mantaining it for years even during pregnancy bcs in the meantime I learned about nutricion and what worked better for the “new” me, never even needed to go to the gym, all I did is fast walking 4 days a week and walk some more whenever I had an excuse. Now she’s trying to portray she’s hardcore working out and eating healthier, meanwhile she has shown cooking stuff with 3 pounds of cheese, exercises that do nothing especially if you keep eating bad and except risk hurting herself. All this while using also medicines that should help her progress. Whether you like it or not isn’t much noticeable. Good for her if she lost all that weight and we’re mistaken no problem at all in admitting it but its not anyone’s fault if they don’t see this “massive” change. Her comments are curated to remove any reasonable criticism. We never see her donate clothing from her hauls or do any volunteering or kindness for anyone that she cannot make a video with. I once asked her whether she has helped anyone that could do nothing for her. I specifically said that I didn’t want to hear about her paying for a film crew to travel to locations with her or taking her family out for dinner,…but what does she do to be charitable to those that can offer nothing to her. Spinning as she admires herself in endless amounts of clothing isn’t caring for anyone but herself. Does she donate some clothing to women in need? We don’t see these things because they don’t happen,…since we all know that she’d never miss the opportunity to film herself if she did anything kind for another person. As expected, my comment disappeared. Anna appears to be shallow enough that we know all that we need to know about her.

Annd high protein, low calories quiche:. Fry ham cubes and leek in skillet. Blend eggs w cottage cheese, add nutritional yeast, salt, pepper, put it all in a pie shell, top with a little high quality cheese, or a lot of low calories cheese, choice is yours. Tastes good. Drop crust if you wanna lower calories. Add carrots, courgettes, peppers, onions, spinach, if wanting more greens.

@@annesofiestisen239 likewise! I'm down 200lbs, little more to go. I track everything which I like. We can always tweak recipes and swap or omit ingredients and when we make it we know exactly what's in it.

I wonder if she thinks drinking a diet soda negates all her unhealthy choices as well. I’m sure this will end with the typical response of how she can’t lose weight because of (fill in the blank disease) even when eating”healthy”.

For a lower calorie sauce to suit a gratin you can make this! Approximately 9 (4.5 oz servings) Approximately 150 calories a serving Ingredients: 3 tsp of butter 1/2 c minced onion 3 cloves garlic crushed fresh thyme (about 2 tsp) 1 c. chicken broth 1 c. milk (you can use whatever kind you wish I use fat free) 1 tbsp cornstarch 1/3 c. grated Parmesan (reserve 2 tbsp for the end) 2.5# (1.25kg) starchy potatoes (peeled and sliced 1/8”in / 3 mm thick) Instructions: Preheat oven to 350° f (180° c) In a nonstick sauce pot melt butter, sweat the onions over low heat until they are soft enough to squish between finger tips. Turn up heat to medium, add garlic and thyme continue to cook stirring until they become aromatic (about 1-2 min) Add chicken broth to pot and bring to a simmer. Dissolve cornstarch into milk then add to pot. Turn the heat up to high whisking the mixture until it reaches a boil. Pull from the heat and slowly whisk in Parmesan. Adjust salt and pepper to taste. Blend with immersion blender if you want it silky smooth. Spray baking dish lightly layer potatoes and sauce. Once the layers are set press the top down gently to make sure it is fully covered and extra air bubbles burp out. Cover with foil, bake for 1 hour & 15 min until potatoes are tender. Use a thin knife to test the center of the dish to ensure potatoes are tender. Remove cover sprinkle reserved Parmesan on top and continue to bake for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. XOXOXO

My favourite 'cheat' creamy sauce is egg, alpro yoghurt (vegan), nutritional yeast, garlic and onion, soy milk if needed etc. I just play around with those and it tastes banging. The nutritional yeast makes it cheesy

When I make white sauce for enchiladas I use a roux 2 tbs butter and flour then use stock as the liquid and add low fat sour cream. If I want to be extra decadent I use some low fat half and half. This is still quite a heavy meal but It is significantly fewer cals than the full fat version.

It is so goddamn hard to watch her run/jog. Every step she takes is SLAMMING 400+ pounds down on her joints.

I’ve had this thought for a while now. Is she really running? I would call it jogging. There’s a difference. Anna is not running, not at the speed she moves. It’s jogging. I used to jog years ago. Running is faster, a longer stride. I even googled running vs jogging. Anna is jogging. So glad you think she’s gained weight also Ilona. I have thought that for the last several months. She recently said "no foods are off the table for me." It looks like it. Now she thinks she’s Suzy homemaker discovering the joys of cooking. I’ve questioned whether she is still on the med. ☀️👍🏻

That’s kind of toxic - I used to go to a running club and I would constantly belittle myself for being too slow - the more advanced and fast runners would uplift me and urge me to keep going - actual runners don’t put down other people that are learning - I don’t like Anna by the way - but making fun of her lack of physical skills is childish and toxic - that’s like me; a very highly educated person started making fun of illiterate or dyslexic people who may not have had the same opportunities or the same advantages as me as someone who always excelled in academics

I made a butter chicken recipe the other day & was impressed with some of the techniques used to make it. One being, simmering cashews in the sauce for 15min then blending it. It was so thick & luxurious. I’m going to try adding it to other sauces & soups. Think of a thick carrot, tomato soup. Yum!

How many calories do you think cashews have?? Maybe blending them breaks up the calories.

As I only make gratin rarely (perhaps twice a year), I used Maizena and low fat milk plus vegetable stock to make the creamy sauce. Yes, it is not as luxurious as using butter, but works perfectly fine.

The question I have is how much of those potato and quiche dishes did she eat. That potatoe dish would feed 3 to 4 adults easily and why did she make 2 quiche? She only shows us one portion on a small plate but surely she's not throwing the rest away.

I also reckon doesn't let any of it go to waste…or share/divide into realistic portions... I winced when she said, “I became obsessed with today’s recipe, I had to get it just right. So I'd make them again and again, tweaking ingredients, trying new ways of cooking.” Again and again?? So. much. food.....
@dt38029 ай бұрын
@@patray162 Another question I should have asked. Is that 1 meal or a snack? What did she eat for the rest of the day or did she eat it all day long.
