I'm gonna give my mcc/joc at Simtech on 737NG like you man! Hoping to see you soon on board as colleague!

Best of luck Mario! Are you sure your MCC/JOC is on the MPS (NG) simulator, not the 737 XJ sim?

3:02 Ryanair's go around SOPs are way more solid than this imo despite seeming a bit more chaotic. i find it suprising that this doesnt use ryanair procedures given that simtech based in ireland.

We received some training in a generic type sim and jumped into the 737 sim just for this video, attempting to use the same SOPs, hence the chaos. Thanks for watching!

Would the next approach be an autoland?
@greatflyer_aviation5 жыл бұрын
Interesting question! For the crew to have flown a CAT I ILS in such marginal conditions it means that the runway was not approved down to CAT II/III minima, so an autoland is not possible. A diversion would be necessary if the weather does not improve!

After go around capt didn’t move eng start sw-s to off. Of didn’t check
@greatflyer_aviation5 жыл бұрын
That only happens during the after takeoff checklist.

Stupid pilot error, of course they have to be switched off and on again on gear down during the next approach stage.

Good job with that ga call, love your videos. But, he should be the one looking out form the window and calling go around if there is no vis ref.
@greatflyer_aviation3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! You’re referring to a monitored approach, in that case you would be correct.

@greatflyer Could you show a 737 Go Around with electric power to rear stabilizer disabled? How much harder is the maneuver without electric trim

Why would you be manually flying when you can’t see the runway? This is not approved, well in my airline anyway.
@greatflyer_aviation6 жыл бұрын
Hi Sam, this is not airline flying. The scope of the MCC course is to introduce us to manually operating an airliner and also to prepare us for airline assessments, where the use autopilot is usually restricted.
@Samjones112036 жыл бұрын
GreatFlyer whoops! Sorry. I didn’t realise it was the MCC. I didn’t even read the title! Sorry mate!

Nothing more annoying than flying with someone that sighs after each sentence or word. It's the equivalent of dragging your feet while walking. Very sloppy.
