Yeah, i heard that there are many workers, doing mostly construction and other physical types of jobs in Dubai. Plenty of people from my country as well. Mostly computer geeks, construction and ex-military with working visa. Their own style of foods can be purchased at local stores, but foreign types of food and drinks are only available at stores outside the cities. The other thing I know about them I cannot write about, because of KZbin rules...🙄

Wow great video as always. One small piece I hope of helpful feedback is your written comments (eg omdb weather at start of video) was white writing against an almost white background could hardly see it. But other than that really enjoyed the video. And the approach itself looked fairly simple. Something new I've learnt about the 737-800 here, that it has an endurance of 6hrs+ flying time, I've always considered the 737-8 as a short haul vehicle of 5hrs endurance, so happy to be educated on that one. Wish you well and look forward to your next arrival destination. Maybe an approach with a hold?

No, the range is enough. Sometimes we need to make a fuel stop during the return flight because of the headwind.

That was a beautiful approach and landing, but as a passenger, I could not do 7 hours in the economy cabin of a 737. I would be in a lot of pain by the time the plane landed.

Nice landing! You asked "Why set autobrake to '3"'? My non-pilot guess is that big factors are weather, runway length and perhaps which exit you plan to use.

You have set autobrake system to 3 for short runway or heavy aircraft weight. Or perhaps you want to exit runway at a turn-off close to runway threshold?

Autobrake set to 3.0 - you have a long runway 30L also runways are staggered 30L is first, foremost runway and @3.0 you don't have to burn the brakes to easily get to all your Gate(s) from the 1st Taxiway turnoff point. That sure was a smooth landing, Senior 1st Officer, Ms Michelle.

I live in a town (Pop ~100K) which scientists are telling us will be uninhabitable by 2050 - too many days over 40-deg C in our hot-dry season. There is no record of a 50-deg day in our recorded history - not so Dubai. Interesting times ahead.

Thailand, like most asian tropical countries, has a wet season (Jun - Oct) and a dry season, though dry season could be broken into cool (Nov - Feb) and hot (Mar - May) seasons. Of course you will get cooler temps at higher elevations, but don't plan on bringing skis, lol.

Usually airline crew can fly on an 'If Space Available' basis. If there's space onboard, you can fly at a reduced rate.
