For many years I worked in jobs which, one for sure (Special Forces) denied women entry. I then became a paramedic and it was about five years later that they opened the job to women. That would have been the best change they ever made because I got to work with so many capable and competent women. This is also why I enjoy your videos so much.

Explain on Go around, why it’s done and in what situation? is this done in auto pilot and in split second? I was watching once a videos of young people doing flight allowance/how to become a pilot (in the UK). When I heard about the price you need to invest first to go through the flying school and tests, I said to myself never in this life :P, I would have to save money for many years just to pay for the training, I am now also I think a bit too old to even try to become a pilot. I used to be scared of flying, but now I kind of love it :)

Hand-fly as much as you can and during different flight phases. Also in turbulent/imc weather if your procedures allow. You may hardly ever need that skill. Or you may one day save the aircraft by keeping your reflexes well programmed. After the adventures I experienced, I do not believe that hand flying should be limited to short final in vmc (and more of such modern nonsense without a scientific base). People lose their 'edge' when doing this. Have good flights and beautiful views 😎! Greets from a retired aviator.

Congratulations on your new home Michelle! Hopefully you will share a bit of it with us on KZbin when you get it all unpacked and decorated? I’m sad that I will miss your next few videos - I am headed to the Med for the next 11 weeks. Delivering a yacht from Cyprus to Genoa, installing a new mast and then sail back to Greece. Perhaps I will look up in the sky as I pass some beautiful Greek island and see you landing your plane?!?

Thank you for the informative yet relaxing videos. I wonder if each airplane of the same model "feel" the same? For example, does an older airplane have less responsive controls, throttle levers that move side to side, etc.?

Every airplane feels different and takes a bit of time to get used to. Thats why we have type ratings as well :)

@@DutchPilotGirl Hello. I was curious, but were you in the Dutch air force? If you were, do you prefer flying fighters or large cargo transports and airliners? Thank you.

Really interesting video, I have subscribed. It is fascinating to see the complexities of the cockpit and take off ... it's impressive how skilled you pilots are 🙂

Michelle, the quality of your videos continues to get better and better with each new upload. Nice touch with the multiple camera views! I'm curious, how many flight hours have you acquired in the 737? And how many hours would be needed to apply for a captain seat? Thanks for your content, please keep up the good work! 🙂👍

Hi Chad, thank you so much for your comment! I'm happy to hear that 😃 Oeff,, I think around 5000 or something? I am in the middle of adding up my hours in my logbook. According to the law you need at least 1500 hours to become a captain. Captaincy in my company depends on the number on the seniority list... Probably a few more years :)
