Good morning My Crew. Now that was a fast liftoff. I almost didn't get a chance to get my heart racing when you said Rotate. That few seconds before you say Rotate, it is as if I can feel that speed and I love,love,love it. Take care My Crew and have a Wonderful day and flight.

My father worked for Boeing I. Portland oregon. As a child I took many tours of the plants in Washington and walked in many new 747's. Such an awesome aircraft. It will be sad to see them go in time.

Hey, Captain from Newnan, Georgia👋I don't fly myself, but if I did, I can see myself in the cockpit of a simple plane, say, a Cessna, but not sitting in the pilots seat of a 747😄And you make it look so easy when you take off and especially when you land that beast of an aircraft. Truly amazing to watch!

You are quite right in your observations. A mistake while flying an airplane can be disastrous, so the Captain always has to be super vigilant monitoring the First Officers performance in addition to monitoring his own performance.

Fantastic to see a great take off from beautiful Shannon ☘ ☘ Still like to know what that bump is on rotation always used to hear it on 747 & know we were just leaving the ground! Very best wishes to you dear Captain ✈️😊
@petercrisp25733 жыл бұрын
I think that bump is the sound made by the front landing gear as the nose first lifts and as it hits the end stop of full extension (so the gear doesn’t fall off the end of the sliding mechanism).

I can’t even begin to express how much I support this. Hand fly as much as practically possible. It’s your airplane dude…if you aren’t in danger of becoming task saturated and you’re not flying near scarily restricted/horribly busy airspace (Washington DC, London, etc.) why would you want to hand it over to the computers at the first possible moment? Fear of pilot deviation? Perceived safety enhancement? Fly that machine…

Love the B747, flew on all versions from B747-100 to 400 , can't fault this beautiful aircraft for sheer power , grace and comfort on long haul. My thanks to Airlines such as People's Express, TWA, British Airways.

Nice to see Captain manually flying the plane till flaps up which I know started off his morning with plenty of fun. Looked very smooth with such a quick takeoff. Lovely views of the land below too. ❤️2😎 "למדתי שאנשים ישכחו את מה שאמרת, אנשים ישכחו מה עשית, אבל אנשים לעולם לא ישכחו איך גרמת להם להרגיש." מאיה אנג'לו

Hi captain have you flight a B747-400 passenger aircraft before?
@nerdstalkingpod3 жыл бұрын
I have to ask, and didn't know what video to ask of it. My wife sent me something and I had to ask a pilot. Depending on the distance flown, do you have to dip the nose at regular intervals to allow for the curvature of the earth?

No..

I like that Captain Boeing likes to Fly The Aircraft. Soooo boring when it's "Positive Rate", "Gear Up", "Autoflight" before the pilot has hand-flown for less than a minute. Personally, while I know the Beancounters want that, I don't think it's particularly-safe.

So that's all there is to it? Push the levers forward to get more power from the engines and when you're going fast enough, pull back on the stick. Good to know for future reference.
