Such gorgeous views from the air and love the feeling of floating as the plane leaves the runway. Interestingly the ladies chit chat stopped for most of the takeoff roll. Captain it is interesting that the pax go silent as if holding their breath as V1 is approaching and once the queen is airborne they breath again and start talking LOL..relieved that they actually got airborne and they are on their way;-)) cheers.

3:45 the -800 has a different slat retraction sequence to your -400 ;-)

On the 400 the outer one retracts first followed by the inner 2 on the 8 they retract all together!

Looked up photos of the 747-8 on line and it is one big beautiful plane. I envy anyone who gets the chance to fly on it. The only down side of this video was those dang talking women. I could not hear a thing the Captain was trying to tell us. But aside from that I did enjoy the video.

I love the 747- 8 and if you think about it they will still be flying when A380's are pretty much done due to the coronavirus. The A380 is awesome don't get it wrong but the Queen will still be rocking for days to come.
