This video is awesome, brings pride to the Pacific Northwest and the entire country. I remember as a kid watching the PBS special on the building of this jet. I watched it at least 10 times and have been searching for a copy of it on DVD, no where to be found. But its always nice to watch the clips i see here and there. Its the first time I ever saw an RTO cert and was in awe. Thanks! KEEP IT UP!

firstly respect for these awesome people who built this plane 777 i am a trainee pilot ,soon going to be graduated, have a dream to fly Boeing,because it is the best ,and after 5 or 10 years if my hard work is enough and i am lucky enough all i want is to fly a 777 on a lounge route,because 777 is more than a plane ,777 is a legend of all planes for me,thats all thanks gooday from Australia

It's surprising what a $500m bung can get you by way of exclusivity on the 777ER/X. Up until that point, both RR and P&W were easily outselling the GE model. Ain't it funny that the CEO of GE at the time went on to become CEO at Boeing after a stint at 3M.

I live in france, home of airbus, but the 777 is by far my favorite airplane, safe, powerful, financially excellent for airliners and above all a majestic, beautiful airplanes, i think i decided to study embedded systems engineering for airplanes only after being in a 777 300ER haha ^^. The 777X is going to be the next most successful long-hauler :).

Job well done! My whole family has been pilots, and I will be within 2 years. My dads an Anerican Airlines Captain and has been flying 42 years. Hes stated that if was moved to an Airbus, he'd quit flying. He's flown everything from you B-17 to the B777. He's got 10 years on the B777 now and they really are great airplanes!

Most comfortable plane I've ever flown on. I had an entire row of seats on an emergency exit row to myself (extra leg room), and it was in coach. For the first time flying, I had almost no anxiety.

Boeing mechanics will never be redundant or outdated. Not 10 years from now, not 100 years from now. There are too many tight spaces and little nooks and crannies where the only tool able to do the job is a human hand. Behind frames, under stringers and floor beams, etc. And if Boeing learned its lesson from outsourcing everything on the 787, their engineers will never be redundant either.

We did an hour long interview at flightpodcast. com with Captain Eric Moody from BA who had all four engines shut down in an ash cloud over Java back in the 80's, and he lamented about the different manufacturers of aircraft. He said of his tour of airbus, they weren't really excited about their product and only really concerned on technology. On his tour of Boeing, he was in awe of how passionate all the staff were about building planes; leading to his love of Boeing. Well done Boeing.

El B-777, nadie con cultura aerea puede dudar que es un gran avion. Si la memoria no me falla ya se han construido 1000 y en 18 años. han sufrido 4 accidentes con una perdida de 4 vidas humanas, todo un record positivo. El accidente de SFO con solo dos victimas demuestra lo seguro que es incluso en un accidente Tengo preferencia por el B-747 8F, pero valoro el B-777 que incluso hace daño a las ventas de Jumbo
