Drag racing is a sport like any other NFL NBA MLB. You need your pros, owners, media, promoters. fans, amateurs, and beginners, staff. It's ok to be a spectator and never race or have to work the event and can't race. We are all important to keep dragracing alive.

GM got everyone into RBs with the VL Holden Commodore. VL turbos could swap a lot of parts with Skylines which made both available and affordable to build. They were our mainstream inline 6 turbo before the Barra.

people forget that building race cars is gambling... you are pushing the useage case far outside the designed spec, which means you are liable for it as the customer. The shop didn't choose to set that spec for you. What they are doing is what you asked, as you pay them for their labor and experience. Its the same with any performance aimed sport/competition. So if your going to gamble with your money, you need to find a way that your happy about it. If you win or lose. Me personally, i find I have so much fun building the cars and learning about the parts, and performance changes i am making. That I am fine if first past it blow sup. Cause I understand it was my choice to do this, and its what I wanted. Plus i got to have fun building it, i get to race my friends, and have a good time, win or lose.

Interesting to me how a community of people that understand how 25 pounds can affect the performance of a car would allow themselves to be over 25 pounds overweight. I would like to help educate people on this topic however it is not easy to approach people that need this information because you are calling them fat and unhealthy. Whoever breaks into this lane first will be one of the next big youtube stars. There are so many sick and fat people that are tired, and also tired of being overweight. More people need to realize they are eating themselves to death with “foods” that aren’t real food…..

season 6 will never air. when the warner media merger happened street outlaws was immediately cut because the Warner media TV head of operations that took over hated the show. the driver that died happened in 2019. but as for as NPK it was bought but no one knows who bought it yet because they immediately shut down the event live streaming and everyone went hush hush. the fact that they did what they did without saying anything i pretty much lost interest in it. ended up selling my tickets for the race i was going to go to.

You guys are talking like circle track racing is thriving but it's not. You're seeing the exception not the average. Tracks are struggling and so many are shutting down. The Freedom factory isn't a good example, those people are coming to see Cleetus. I watch these youtube channels and feel like drag racing is thriving and better off than circle track racing but I'm also just seeing the exception I guess.
@shotgun_chef32654 ай бұрын
If you want to make circle track racing get going again, make a business, get a group of tracks willing to open for a race/race series, get a group of racers that will show up just to get out racing, then get sponsors for the prizes, leverage the prize money/tracks/other people coming and get other racers to be excited enough to get their cars together. Can’t complain that others aren’t doing stuff for the racing you like if you won’t do it yourself.
@shotgun_chef32654 ай бұрын
Only really saying that because that is how this stuff works. If no one works to keep it going, it will disappear. There are plenty of circle track series that are doing just fine around the country, it just takes a group of people that will keep it going because they love it.
@jayworkman23084 ай бұрын
@shotgun_chef3265 who was complaining? I was saying that circle track racing isn't any better off than drag racing. Both are struggling in places. Sure there are events and series that are doing better than others but the same is true for drag racing. I'm not going to promote a series but I'll take my car and support the local track and support series when possible.

We don't have the Subaru blowing up issues like you guys in America, I've heard it's because our versions are manufactured in different locations. Also, it could be because we've got strong WRX heritage in Australia so perhaps we know what's required for mods or we go about it differently. I'm not saying they don't have issues but nowhere to the same extent that they have a reputation for it..

Drag racing is to boring in all honesty, there are very few people who actually make it exciting to watch as well you really don’t know what people do to make their cars incredibly fast beside throwing a bunch of money and hp at the car and it’s over in 10 seconds so for the average person it’s not relatable really for people because they can’t see the skill it takes to be a good drag racer and now that tuning is so good it really don’t seem that skill based anymore and more of who can run the computer better.. but stick shifting is exclusively excluded from what I said because that obviously takes a lot of skill!

I definitely get that to a degree I think ok so for me I got a track and field hr away but it’s an 1/8 mile and people are salty that it took over and abandoned the dirt track on the same property or 2 hours at BIR in mn watching drag races online it’s boring but if your there is fun the sounds and all that is great I’m not a drag racer I do want to see what my car will do on the 1/4 mile I can see why it’s a thing wanting to beat your time but gotta have deep pockets but for me once my 66 mustang is all together with a 347ci 400hp carburetor car with a t5 and 3.50 gears I think it would be awesome to see what the car would do but can’t afford to chase the dragon

How about a class that allows only the engine that came in the car and a car that as near factory as possible and that it was built completely from a guy in their backyard with documentation to prove it? Like a grass roots class and the budgets set to a minimum, I don’t understand how there like a classic red and silver stripe turbo acr viper from the late 90s doing 6s racing like a skittle car like for example fl2k22 event where like not even the red awd hatch from boostedboiz entered because of how “stacked” or more like how baller the cars that are racing are clogging up the lanes. 🍿🥤🥸 (One grassroots backyard low budget class for domestic and another for import, then for shits and giggles time permitting import vs domestic shitbox World Cup and then make it a week long event 24/7 day and night racing oh but that’s right you sanctioned with permitting curfews). Not meaning to sound like I’m complaining I appreciate what you do for the community…… that’s gotta be a lot of work to event organize and nobody is acknowledging as much as they should.
