Middle of Spring about 3 years ago me and dad went down a local logging track in the otways after a week of solid rain, there was a descent into the track which consisted of wash-aways and sinkholes as well as ruts 3 foot deep, the ascent was almost impossible to walk up let alone drive in our unlocked hilux which was running bald all teraains at the time, we're talking easily 45 degree angles on a track made out of clay as smooth and slick as stewdogga's head after a good oiling. It took us 2 days to travel 600m up two inclines, all of the pulling power relying on our TJM 9500 lbs winch, which essentially pulled 2000kg of dead weight 600m. That was my first time 4wding and dad's first time in 30 years since he sold his series 1 land rover which he drove all over the otways a hundred times over.
