17:26 In my case, battleship guns reload slowly, so they need to spend 30 seconds while doing literally nothing. I need to do something so that I can stay awake until the gun reloads. Besides, if sending the depth charge bombers can make DD captains scared by the tiniest bit thinking if that's from swamp german cruisers, that's more than I could wish for.

I get that with every salvo from every battleship I sail, in every single game. It's enough to make me want to stop bothering with battleships entirely. Even my carrier's bombers do that, dropping their bombs in a big ring around the target, even if I have the drop reticle ENTIRELY on the target ship (it will drop the bombs outside the reticle). Meanwhile, the AI bombs will actually curve in the air so they ALL hit, every time. But, that's coop.

There were at least two salvos while Jingles was going on about the Nagato not finishing him off. So the Nagato got one really good salvo and then two whiffs so he couldn't finish him off. Classic BB gameplay.

Dropping depth charge planes on a DD has one reason; it's a diversion. Works better if there is a CV in play, but it might buy you a few seconds. same with launching deep water torps against DDs.

As stupid as it may sound, I always drop my depthcharge planes during engagements with DDs in the hopes that I scare the captain into thinking that these are actually planes that will do damage to him and force him to turn. Works maybe 1 out of 10 times but that’s enough for me to keep doing it.

Jingleisms this game (and what they really are): The Aviere only has a 6.9km firing range (Its base range is 8.3 extented to 8.9 if you get a kill with Sansonetti as your captain) The Nagato was oblivious to the low health Fuso he bitchslapped a minute before (He was not, both his following salvos were aimed at the Fuso, but both missed. The tracers and shell splashes were quite obvious) Sidenote: Ita DD SAP is fine against BB, just not against something like a Pyotr Velikiy whose superstructure is nigh nonexistent. Its upper belt also includes the first level of the "superstructure" and is as such impenetrable by SAP. Only its funnel and the bridge are places SAP can pen. Most other BB have plenty of superstructure and less armoured bows to farm for SAP dmg, like you could see with the Fuso, whose entire pagoda is free real estate for SAP.

I was just checking the Fuso/Nagato timings myself. 13:15 we see shots about to land. 13:52 we see it again at low health and then at 14:15 we see a salvo just missing it. :)

Sometimes if there are no subs in the game I just launch the anti sub planes because it's atleast something I can do. Just a Hail Mary while I wait to reload, run or sink, depending on circumstance.

I was amazed, not only did the danged depth charges land on target they did manage to take hit points from the dd I sent them at, once. followed by a teammates and my main guns hitting it seconds later.

To answer your question Jingles as someone who always uses the airstrike consumable when the main guns are on reload in battleships. Sometimes I use it to attract the aa fire of DD's in their smoke so I can turn "blind fire" into smoke into "educated guess" levels of accuracy with main gun fire into smoke. However what that battleship was doing I can't really tell you either. Maybe he just used it as something to entertain himself whilst his guns reloaded like you guessed. I have been having "so much fun in my BB" this days, yestarday 27/03, i played my tier 6 BB just trying to get a win for the daily bonus, was on a russian and german BB played 5 games lost all, got torp in all of them but in 4 of them got killed by the torps, where 2 of them where from subs, fuck this shit, i rage quit after that and give up, so much torps from everywhere you cant do nothing if not snipe at the back of the map, from DD, Cv and Subs i got realy tired of getting torpedo over and over.

Another thing: this DDs could be upgraded with captain skills and modules to favorite some traits of these ships. I tried to boost my torps in the Maestrale, Tier V, and speed and reloading time became amazing. Dropping torps of 8 km every 30 seconds at 55 knots.

Regarding the Depth Charge aircraft, Jingles. Some people actually use them on surface ships expecting them to do damage... I've had a couple of people complain in chat when they dropped them on my ships and got no damage... Oh well, can't stop people from sniffing glue XD

RE: the depth charge planes: It can "freak" nervous players out and force them to manuever out of the airstrike and thus either present a better target, or disengage and buy time. Skilled players will obviously ignore this, but how many of those do you get per game ?

Irrelevant but seeing this video: there is a serious lack of understanding in Random battles (the one's I do because no close friends are in this game since Lost Ark :P ). People go for "scores" not "objectives", miserably failing and driving to a loss the rest too. Simple ex. hunting while baited for a kill, not staying safe on low health in a close point match, etc. And you know how I know they are bad? When I try to communicate with my team they always answer "Stop whining with your 46% WR" and I always answer "Yes, thanks to you". How easy people think of WoWS as another platform arcade that you need to set a high score no matter what. Excuse my rant but barely anyone listens. Thanks for the video, I learned so much watching them!

the depth charge aircraft are useful in that most of the time it gets DDs who haven't turned off their AA to reveal themselves via their AA fire. It has helped me to avoid DDs hiding in smoke around corners many times!

Took the Turbine out last night, Tier IV Italian DD and got a kracken. Sure the torps and guns have no range but in the right circumstances you can practically teleport within Yolo range and sink anything with a full torp salvo.... plus the SAP works lovely against other DD's

The reason BB players launch depth charge bombers even when not using it too see if someone in around is mostly because of how useless it is, at least in my server (north American). So I launch them for the enemy players to farm air damage and I assume everyone else did too.

at 20 minute mark, there is a really big reason why he shot first and then used smoke. He was baiting the enemy to shoot so he could spot the enemy through smoke firing penalty, cos yes it affects enemies too even if only you are in the smoke.

When I'm in a destroyer, after launching long distance torpedo runs, I will most often "troll" the enemy ship into turning into my torpedoes. It works sometimes.

If you play with another DD as intended to be a tag team, then you can use your smoke in an aggressive mode. And of course you can use it as well against BBs. At tier 5 and 6 BBs, except for Kongo, are slow af. So if you combine these two elements of smoke and engine boost, you can arrive just in front of an enemy BB and drop your torps at close range without being spotted. It's kinda inevitable. BBs can not avoid it without direct support from cruisers and other DDs. So this "Yolo practice" it's reserved only when there's only BBs around. But generally, this new Italian DDs are pretty good despite they are pretty bad on paper. If players start to pley them in teams, then they will become a serious treat for whatever ships there's on their route.

The Flint died as it was launching Torpedoes so it went two of them got launched. I've had this happen to me in destroyers a lot. Die in the middle of the launch and the launch is immediately cancelled halfway through its process.

Aviere= airman in English, and a very strange name for a destroyer. Though all of the destroyers from the Soldati (Soldier) class had rather odd names for ships. Fusiliere (Fusilier or Musketman/Rifleman), Bersagiliere (sharpshooter), Granatiere (grenadier/ hand grenade specialist), Carabiniere (policman), Corazziere( tank crewman/cavalryman wearing a cuirass), Camicia Nera (Blackshirt), Artigliere (artilleryman), Geniere (combat engineer), Lanciere (lancer) and Ascari (variation of the Swahili word for soldier), so yeah odd names for ships. Or am I the only one that finds it odd to name ships after jobs in the Army?

Well, they named it the Soldati class. In that aspect all the names for destroyers within the class are perfectly in theme. One could also pose the question as to why the UK wanted to name its ships after towns/counties etc. since most of them have afaik little to do with said place.

Hey Jingles, i finally started playing wows and i'm thinking of recording my journey as a newbie(played WoT so not exactly newbie), how do you record your games? I can use obs to record as i play but recording my replays is also one i want to consider. Congrats on your moving to a new house and thank you for the videos~♥

It has been a while since I have played WOWS, but I believe that the game creates a replay file, mostly text I think, that can be sent to others to play on their machines or you can replay on your own machine. People send them to him and he loads up the replay file and then screen records them. If you are wondering what screen recording software he uses or what to use to live record games, I can't help ya there.

That carry reminds me of a wot blitz match I had the other day, I killed 6 of the 7 enemies, and did 4k in the black prince. I got lucky with the enemy isu-152 and smasher having other people to shoot at for a lot of the match, where they ended up camping. There wasn't a way to angle my frontal armor well, and their high explosive would have done too much to my frail sides

It emergency engine power is 25 seconds on the T6 not 50, and the Smoke is only 25sec not 50....

I got the ship yesterday. The ship is set up as a sub buster having a large rack of death charges. But the the torpedos suck, the time that your smoke screen last is incredibly short, and the guns have no range. Overall its unimpressive.

I wonder if they have the same bug as the italian cruiser smoke where someone can spot you in your smoke whilst they are also in smoke.

Jingles nagato didn't finish off the fusou because she was sunk by trento shortly prior to that ;) got killed at the very moment you mentioned it had to be nagato that lowered fusou health so much so fast.

You should never question the motives of a tier 6 player. I got this game 4 days ago and I have a tier 6 ship, only learned today that you can focus your AA on a sector and turn it off
