What are you talking about, Mahan torpedoes are crap. They are the same as on stock Benson, but that has been the case since 2015, and Benson's upgraded torpedoes are waaaay better.

As a note to players, generally you do not want to ram a reversing ship of the same class and rough hp. Ramming damage is something I'm not 100% on, but speed difference plays a large part as does ship size and base hp. When you ram a reversing ship they usually take less initial damage than you. So if they have a ram flag and you don't, when you are in the same class of ship there is a decent chance they survive it. Had two cases where I rammed a Lenin and that thing sailed away with a large chunk of damage but still afloat m

Submarines! Yesterday I came around an island and there was a Cachelot at point blank range. Hit him with TWO FISH from my Gaede and he survived. I was so gobsmacked I didn't maneuver quickly enough and he got me. There was no submarine of WWII vintage that would have eaten two DD torpedoes and lived through it. Well, maybe an IJN carrier sub? But I doubt it.

The radars were in fact loaded all in one team. Besides the Borodino, Belfast also has a radar. Neither ships are the best radars in the game, Borodino because it's a battleship and Belfast because the radar has a rather short range, but they still were there.

Actually Jingles, a fully outfitted Ognevoi can outspot an akatsuki, this is because the Ognevoi has decent concealment to begin with, and because it gets the concealment module in slot 5, that the Akatsuki, being a T7, doesn’t get. Why are you grabbing the shotgun?

An Estuary is a body of water that is sometimes fresh water and sometimes salt water based on how much rain has been falling in the river basin.

Rivers tend to be fresh water, and oceans are salt water. Unless you are counting rain as feeding into the river.

I was in a match once where my BB (forget which one) was on its last legs and I went for a ram against a Massa that was full-reversing. My ship (on a fraction of health) got sunk by the ram but the Massa (on half health or so) only took maybe a quarter of its health in damage. Neither of us could explain it.

The enemy Lenin player wasn't fighting better, he was retreated 180 degrees away from Floko and by circumstance, was only showing his stern or a slight angle. At the end, the enemy swung around and obligingly whiffed the shots (most hit the water).

I feel like that was a bit of a throw at the end: The Borodino should have just stayed at a safe distance while capping instead of coming TOWARDS the rest of the enemy team. He would have capped and if he kept his distance, he MIGHT have won.

See... there are two ships I regret not having bought, before they went out of the casual shops: 1. the Giulio Cesare (which came for 10Eur back then, but I was new to the game and though, "pah, I just dont need it")... and 2. the Lenin, which is just Putins overpowered wet dream. What the russians 'invented' for their pride in this game is, laughable. However, if you feel to be in the need of punishing someone - the Lenin is perfect. BTW: I didn't buy it, 'cause... its so damn ugly.

Lenin's a fun ship. Wargaming actually gave me one for free several years ago from a message board contest. I just really like all-forward layouts, so I picked Lenin out of the available premiums for the prize. (It's actually based on a real design, Project 21. Which near as I can tell was a decent design. But like most decent designs the Soviets came up with, it never left the drawing board because it was beyond their capability to actually build.)

Purely from a watchers perspective, I do wish this game would penalize running aground more; its a huge immersion killer. I have been told in the past that its a huge penalty because it stops you and you will likely be sunk... which as a watcher I have found couldn't be further from the truth. Every game I see, tons of people bounce off of islands to quickly slow down, and never do they get sunk. IRL running a ship aground like that would actually stop you, most of the time for at least the duration of the match.

The river estuary "Yenisey Gulf" is between 50km and 250km wide and the "Gulf of Ob" is 80km wide and 1000km long so it's not entirely unreasonable to think this map is based on a river estuary. We just lack the view angle to confirm it.
