I say this because, it's been about 3 years since I last played WoWS. I didn't find subs fun in any level because I was always the first to die to them in almost every battle! It was like adding the BDR in WoT!!!!

One time in WOT clan battles at T6 we did a mono tog II game. The enemy cromwell rush ran right into us and all got slaughtered

Jingles the maximum 2ndary range on my mass. is 10.8 km. With a 3.6 sec reload time. It is a 2ndary spec. The main guns will reach out to 18.3 KM. So the 2nds will reach out, just over half the distance of the main guns.

Number One rule in combat, if it's armed and it can see/shoot you, it isn't obsolete. The Asashios still gave their team eyes, and they still had guns.

Every once in a while, you have to do something like that for fun. I'm really only a WoT player but a lot of times in clan battles, in the old days, you couldn't field a full team at tier 10 anyway and the occasional tier 9's was no big deal. But when you couldn't even do that, it was fun to pull a full team of T1's together or just really fast scouts or all arties. Something ridiculous and funny. Here you have that rare situation where it actually worked. LOL! GG you crazed Asashio captains.

The thing about Japanese torpedo DDs is that they can be great gunboats if you use them not unlike TOG II* in World of Tanks: Form up in a division of three of them, stay very close together so you have 12-18 guns available for the DPM, and exploit the multiplier effect of having three targets to deal with. While TOGs depend on their massive HP pool to endure hits, the Japanese DDs can use their agility to avoid most hits, and when you have three of them constantly bobbing and weaving within 8km of you, your aim is going to suffer a little and it is unlikely you will will any one of them before they have you burning and sinking from the many 127mm hits. I have seen such divisions basically sail into caps contested by some of the toughest anti-DD ships in the game, be it Des Moines or whatever, and bully the poor things to death by being a kamikaze of shells.

Asashio could have been the dream DD, but the fact that it literally has no counterplay against DDs, cruisers and of course it has no AA, so if a CV drops fighters on you, you're as good as dead.
