It was amazing just how many different destroyer configurations got built by the US Navy alone during the interwar period and saw service in the pacific campaign. Ships of the Benson, Benham, Farragut, Porter, and Fletcher class at least saw service in the battles off Guadalcanal in the fall of 1942. If American torpedoes hadn't been so abysmally bad the Fletcher would probably have been a lot more like the Benham in configuration.

@Muck0065 жыл бұрын
@@CareerKnight The thing is that "japanese DDs" were "the king of torps" ... but with the newer ships they are just old rustbuckets that dont really do much anymore. This reminds me of WoW ... where they started giving "everything to everyone" ... i.e. mana recovering buffs were rare in vanilla but eventually everyone had them and the same with removing curses and so on. It leaves the ships/classes less distinct and thus less "special".

It never ceases to amaze me just how bad people can be even at tiers 8-10 after months of playing a game whether it be WOWS or WOTs. Last night I played a WOTs game and we had a Lowe that sat at the back of the map by the artillery for 95% of the game with almost full HP, he only moved when more then half the team was dead and we were being capped (it was encounter btw) he literally blundered into the cap circle to attack a Somua completely ignoring the SU-100Y less then ten meters away. He had to be saved by our St. Emil and still nearly managed to screw up the game. He did 368 or so dmg in a tier 8 game, and the kicker was he'd played 6k games.
