@timeforgottenprince82716 жыл бұрын
Jingles, I have to admit that I am very jealous of the position you are in, that is, the fact that you have a job that you love/enjoy that supports you. Don't get me wrong, I am glad I subscribed to you, and will forever remain a subscriber until the day I die. However, I am jealous that you overall enjoy/love the job you have, and that job supports your life. How many people, in the entirety of history, can say that they enjoy the job they have, and that job supports their life? I am constantly pressured to either go to college, or get a job. But there is no job that I can find and/or think of that I can willingly give an honest go, so going to college it is for me. But for you, just by being who you are, and doing what you love, you have people who love you and/or are so loyal to you that they freely, willingly, and happily give you money on patreon just so you can keep doing what you do, which is something you love. I really hope that you are gratefully for the position you are in, and really thankful to those of us who freely, willingly, and happily give you free money just so you can keep doing what you love. You are in a rare position (having a job you love that supports you) that millions, if not billions, of people dream of being in, willing to do who knows what just to realize that dream. As the ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius once said, "a man who finds a job he loves never works a day in his life." While the quote itself is not completely true, the idea is.

Silverslicer, you'd be surprised at how many people actually do, eventually, find themselves doing a job they love. Now, sure, as a percentage, or per capita, they are a minority. However, the Internet has generally enabled more people to find a wider market, (and more inspiration), than was possible previously. It has even changed the very economy of most first-world countries, such that the majority of businesses are the very small or micro-business type now. Most of them are not KZbinrs, of course. The majority are simply self-employed in various crafts. The site Etsy is almost completely built around such people. Then there's sites like Fivver and Upwork, et al, filled with graphic designers, freelance video guys, various programmers and coders, and web designers. For now, you're still young enough to be needing to learn skills and life-lessons both, which in turn will lead to the very first step in modern business and marketing - learning to see an unmet demand. Later you'll see a demand you'd love to supply, but won't yet be willing to take the huge risk of having no salary, sick pay, paid vacation, etc. to go for it. But eventually, if you want it enough, you'll take the huge risk. You may well fail. That's part of the life-lessons and experience you have to gain first - that not everything works first time, or even second or third time. You learn how to manage and accept failure so that you're in good shape to get up and try again. Henry Ford went bankrupt FIVE times trying to set up the first single production line that eventually gave us the Ford Motor Company.

@DaKillerChipmunk6 жыл бұрын
Clear sky only counts planes shot down by "focussed AA". Like right click a squadron, planes die, they count. Planes dying to autofire don't. It's a respectable decision, but: A) Game doesn't communicate this. B) Getting 50% plane kills is hard enough as it is.
@ZoneSkye6 жыл бұрын
DaKillerChipmunk Ok, I’ve never heard of that, and if it’s true, then WG really did do a horrible job at communicating what’s supposed to be an important detail.

Funny, I was in the Tier V French CL the Emile Bertin on the Two Brothers map, accompanied by a fellow destroyer and later another cruiser with hydroacoustic search and we three ships went down the middle channel to cap the enemy flag and we did. The other cruiser and I traded hydro searches, when mine was down he laid his up, vice versa, and the destroyer put helpful smoke screen to shield us from detection. It worked well and we won but that's an exception because most people do it wrong.
