@@dominicedmonds5240 Minotaur is amazing, it was my first tier 10. I have the British CV event to thank for that as it gave me the Edinburgh for free from one of it's missions. However because I basically skipped the entire line before tier 8 I was learning the line from tier 8, so I didn't do that well at first. Edinburgh's still a pretty good ship though.

@@indiexanna yes i am :) and thank you. Since that game, ive been playing smarter. Ive definitely fallen in love the the British Light Cruisers. The Mino is fantastic and now ive also added the Worcester into the mix. I think its save to say i enjoy light cruisers a lot. But the British light cruisers, definitely are my favorites to play.

@@Nutty31313 This i believe was my 20th game in the Edinburgh. Up to this point i was averaging 50k dmg a game and 2 kills. This game was a massive boost to my morale, and definitely was the moment i completely fell in love in the line of British Light Cruisers.

I got my first Kraken this past weekend in my Fusō. It took me forever to be able to get it for reference she is the fourth T6 I’ve ground to, though I have not got all those I T10 my highest is my Iowa. I tend to get board of high tier games and then go find a new line to grind up to T6 or T7. I’m though enjoying my Nagato that I unlocked a few games after my Fusō Kraken game.

Edinburgh only has slightly thicker armor in a few places with the same 114mm along the sides. However both have more armor than the Neptune and Minotaur after them.

Nah, it's because of the Fiji. Fiji is simply one of the best ships in the game. Coming from the Fiji, the Edinburgh is considered a downgrade for most, even if it's a decent ship.

Both ships are why Edinburgh is overlooked. Her real-life sister-ship Belfast was being sold a tier lower, and considered so broken that Wargaming stopped selling it. Meanwhile, Fiji has always been much stronger for her tier.

I wish I had a replay of the only time I managed the solo win against superior numbers award. The match started out great, my game play petered off mid game and my team tried their best to lose the match. I was hot in pursuit of that same goal but managed to beach my BB on the far side of an island as the enemy approached and time expired.

The first 3 minutes of the game chat nearly gave me an aneurism. People saying that either Alabama or Massachusetts are the same class of BB as North Carolina, the ship models aren't even closely similar I mean just look at the superstructure, also there is Google. North Carolina only ever had 1 sister ship and that is the Washington and both Alabama and Massachusetts are sister ships of the South Dakota (1939) class.

Jingles, Jingles, Jingles. Yes the Mahan left the smoke too late, but only because it didn't turn around in the smoke. You, like everyone else has forgotten the Mahan's torpedo configuration. It has one launcher on the center of each side and a third in the center of the ship. After launching 2 of the three, the opposite side is still loaded and ready to go. I have a decent number of torp kills in my Mahan because everyone forgets that.

A little off subject, Admiral, but I'd like to share some news I found out today. They located the USS Johnston off the coast of the Philippines in over 20,000 feet of water. Battle of Leyte Gulf, Taffy 3. Great story if anyone likes Naval History. Battle 360 did an episode about it that will give you a chill but, the book is better if anyone is interested. Read, "Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailor". Thought I'd share.

I've always found the AA batteries problematic on the Edinburgh. Much of the increase in firepower over the Fiji is due to three x six barrel 40 mm mounts and since it's only three mounts they get knocked out fairly quickly when you're taking fire.

Key to achieving kraken: be lucky enough to be matched against a dozen opponents with only 3 brave pills between them. The enemy team spent most of the match huddled or retreating.

For me the biggest culture shock was the Neptune at tier 9, I loved the Fiji and quickly got over the "not much better" and loved the Edinburgh but the Neptune took some time to love. I am not saying it is a bad ship but I tried playing her like I was used to play the Edinburgh and got deleted so often so quickly :). I think it is the size and lack of concealment (although I guess they are linked ;) ) but have been getting used to it. Question for those of you with Minotaur's does it play like the Neptune or the Edinburgh?

Actually Jingles, Admiral Halsey has RED tracers, not BLUE. The one that gives you Blue tracers is Alexander Ovechkin.

Edin is a decent ship, the main issue it has is that all the ways in which it's better than the Fiji (armour, AA, heal) are better when you're spotted and getting shot at...but ideally you want to not be spotted or getting shot at anyway. Because of that, if you're playing it properly, it's basically no better than the Fiji. I did kill a Bismarck with a fire in my Edin though, so that alone makes it a great ship.

The problem with the Edin is that she is 1 tier higher as Fiji but except for a monster heal it doesnt get anything special . Especially in T10 matches u are completely outgunned and u dont pose a serious torpedo threat either. If that would change Edinburgh would be far more popular.
