Excellent. Thank you so much for sharing. Thank you for the detailed instruction and helpful hints. I also love when instructors tells you how long a project takes to complete because when learning a new skill it is great to be able to gauge your time and not feel that you are taking to long. Beautiful project, great teaching skills. Thank you for your selflessness. May God continue to bless you. kimberly, queens, ny

WoW! I just HAD to say: You Truly do have quite 'An Eye', and are a very talented natural. Colour me impressed -- and very savvy tips & 'stuff' -- I really dig your work, !!! So... Heck Yeah, I subscribed !!! And no disrespect to any and all beginners but mine is NOT the opinion of a mere novice - if I don't say so myself. I USED to design make and sell jewelry - retail in NY, for over a decade -- that is - until severe chronic illness took me outta the game. Been TOTALLY 'outta-the-loop' now, for over a decade too. Only now, I MUST attempt 'come- back' to attempt to help fund our over half a million $$$ in medical debt and to continue the desperately needed YET "uncovered" treatments-medical care for our entire family of 4 - all of us with untreated Lyme & other 'Sick-Tick-Nasties' ! (Tick-Borne-Diseases-Pathogens.) So now, I've been searching for work that I may be able to do from bed or wheelchair, with tremors, and whilst in severe agony. Shouldn't be too difficult, right? Heh! (I used to Metal-smith with Precious Metals and gemstones - and well ya can just imagine the mattress fire my torch would create, right? ;} ) Only been 'lookin' round' the past week or so and I gotta tell ya... SO much has changed !!! I mean I was doin' it back when their was no youtube, no etsy, etc. So... well, I think ya know where I'm going here... If only I could have sold my Sterling Silver stock 10 years ago - coulda made a small fortune - but kinda hard to watch the metal markets, etc. from a hospital room, so... Oooh if ya'll knew what I paid for the stuff back in NYC - ya'd reach through yer screens to choke me! Hah! I'll be watchin' - Please keep up the FANTASTIC work !!! ~Samantha

Oh I just LOVE it! Wish I had your talent and creative mind... the only thing impressive my brain does is remember mounds of very strange info for recall at later dates.... When I never need it... 😂 somehow it does this without my body even partaking....😆 You have already taught me useful things to begin my own DIY Jewelry excursions. Thanx so much! Just subscribed! 👍 😘 ps. You dont even wanna know how I have been putting those teeny tiny beads on strands.... One at a time with my chubby fingers after Ive rolled it around in a small bowl with a tiny toy spoon...😂 I have lost more than I used and in order to get them on the spoon quicker.... I solved it by pouring more into the bowl.... Bound to catch a few right? 👌😵 I started with maybe 150 and made a cool strand of 10 seed beads.... Shit 😂 So I'm LOVIN your method of things! 👍 👍

Thanks for showing this technique! Love the look! What size Fireline do you use and can glue be used instead of the clear nail polish?
@VickiODellTheCreativeGoddess9 жыл бұрын
+F Mulholland I believe it is 6lb test. You could try glue but I like nail polish because it is clear and less messy than glue.
@FMulholland9 жыл бұрын

Probably by now you have seen the bead spinner which makes adding seed beads a snap so this necklace could probably be made within a hour tops.
@VickiODellTheCreativeGoddess9 жыл бұрын
+Ginmars1 Yes, I have a couple of bead spinners. They work great for seed beads but not so great for bigger beads or a mix of sizes like this. Thanks for the tip!

will monofilament work just as well? fireline is too expensive for me.

I would worry that monofilament would break too easily. you need very strong very fine thread.

very pretty. but i wanted to know how you started the multi strands and ended it more clearly. and that is not shown well in your video. :( can u add that bit too.want to try it out badly.
@VickiODellTheCreativeGoddess10 жыл бұрын
Ranjeeta, if you look at the video at about 6:30 I show starting the multi-strand portion up in the necklace and working my way down. I tie a knot on the single strand and then thread the Fireline down to the end and anchor it to the closed loop. At 9:38 I explain that to end the multi-strand portion I tie a knot and work the thread through a few beads and tie another knot. Seal the knot with a little clear fingernail polish to help keep it from coming undone. That's all there to it. I hope that helps. V

Vicki O'Dell Thanks a lot for your reply! Now that you explained it I get it. but as a beginner it was hard for me to follow the video coz ur hand was covering up the beads. Thanks again and ur work is really neat and pretty. :)
