BOIII for Free After Shutdown!

How to get a client based off BOIII's source code for free after Activision sent a C&D letter to Xlabs (something adjacent to BOIII) And the creator of both Xlabs and BOIII (Momo) decided to shut both of them down to comply with the greed of Activison.

I see lots of comments not all of which I can answer unfortunately (I'll answer the ones I can tho), however, here is a link to their official website which also includes a link to their Discord server; if you have questions I recommend asking them there. ezz.lol/ A new commit to the ezz Boiii client has a new domain for the server list; there's a possibility that the server list might work now!! I will check soon 😊 Edit: As of now the server browser still unfortunately does not work however I believe it might start working once they update the latest version off of 32 and include the new updated code in the official compiled version. Edit 2: BOIII now has a working server browser with servers and players!!!

So what i am starting to see is a mass production of a few clients. The idea is to make it impossible for Hactivision to CD everyone and to make sure everyone who owns the game has a way to play safely without hactivision hacking you. Cause lets face it, originally we all know it was them trying to move people to there failing title modern wokefare 2. Very cool of you man to make a vid for the community. Cheers.

Other people you want to play with will need to download the same client, you can now use existing servers to play with your friends too!

Do you mean it's not downloaded often? Becuase I get the same issue, just ignore it. If it were truly a virus Windows defender would catch it.

when i try to play in a zombie DLC map the game kick me out in the lobby with an eror of "could not load level fastfile 'name_map' : could not read fastfile", i miss some step?

You have to own the actual DLCs

It doesn't give you free dlc maps steam give you the free mp maps but with zombies you either have to own the dlc or you can download the files for free

im no expert but maybe try hamachi try make ur own server maybe the invite friends ? (i know this method from dark souls 3 client where there are servers also there is a way to make your pc the server then invite friends so maybe seearch bout u may find it useful)

Me and someone from a Discord server I'm in tried it and it didn't seem to work however creating your own server seems to work but not the most user friendly thing I'll try to work on figuring this out more to get it to a point where I can explain it in a short video like this one

Just set this all up and no, i already owned the revelation map, the giant, and the zombie chronicles which all loaded fine, but loading DE zitsubo and gorod gave, "could not load level fastfile 'zm_island': could not read fastfile"

@@troubledtv14 I assume if you're able to get the files for the maps they should be something for example along the lines of 'zm_island.ff' for example and put them in your zone folder it should work but I don't know how to get them without owning them and I won't look into it since it's basically piracy.

I'm not sure of any ways however this client has apperently been modified from the original BOIII client to allow for non legit copies of the game to work with it
