It's very cool to see a honest guy out there helping people. Oil burners esspecially, because 99% of homeowners are relatively clueless about how to fix a problem when it happens. Also in winter time they are desperate to get heat. This is a open invitation for dishonest repairmen to over charge a desperate homeowner. God Bless you Steve.

Steve: your pricing for your work here is very fair to say the least. Its good to see people like you out there performing quality services at fair prices. I figure you are a busy man with many repeat customers as a function of how you conduct yourself. Thanks for the video

I'm in Conway, NH area with leaking boiler, good luck finding a plumber to call back which is usual here now. Thinking I'm screwed for Holidays and I find you and you save Christmas bought some stop leak followed your instructions and it looks like leak has sealed, thank you for video you saved me:)

Thank you for showing your pricing. While you certainly can’t use it to figure out what you will pay for a job, it’s helpful to know a ballpark estimate for repairs. Got my merch last week, loving it all!

I just poured 2 qts of Hercules leak sealer into my 10 yr old New Yorker boiler. Stopped the leak almost instantly. I only need it to get me to warm weather then I’ll be replacing the unit but not with another New Yorker.

I'm not a fan of sealing liquids or powders, but I have used them. If it keeps the customer happy and shows them you were willing to try to extend the life of their equipment I'm all for it. As long as they are aware that it might or might not work, and they are ok with that!

and thanks for the videos, I don't care what anybody says, you're alright. I have leaking sections in my Wells Mclain oil boiler and I just ordered the powder to hopefully get me through until April 2021. I don't have the cash for the repair or a new unit. I already bought Oatey High Heat Furnace cement to try and seal the outside and whatever I find in the inside to try to minimalize to flow of water. My furnace gets up to 85 degrees F (water thermometer) and starts to come out pretty good, and we're not just talking about a small drip. It starts without leak, so I think this stuff will work, depending on how much I put in. The question I need to ask is about my automatic air bleeding system and expansion tank. I need a new bleeder because it leaks from under the top while under pressure. I have a TACO inline pressure regulator that is supposed to let 12 psi through but it is getting up to 22 psi. I bled the system completely and I think the expansion tank is filling with water because it is pouring out of the bleeder on top of it after the air stops. Did I bleed it from the wrong spot? Should I have bled it out from the pipe directlyt over the boiler that is lower than the expansion tank so it didn't go that high? I opened that bleeder after the tank's bleeder started making water and only air came from that bleeder. Not sure why water is coming out of there other than a bad tank or a bad flowcheck valve that is after the tank letting water back from the baseboard heat return. Am I supposed to bleed the air from the boiler only to remove air from the system? Not really sure what's going on as I'm an electrician.. LOL

If it is like Radiator Stop Leak, it will clogg up the heater coil on a vehicle. I put it in an old station wagon that I used to have. It didn't stop the leak in the Radiator either.

Stephen question wouldn't you drain down the expansion tank to drop the pressure in the system just curious keep up the good work I enjoy all the videos
@diamondcojones24195 жыл бұрын
He drained down the pressure in the boiler already simply by shutting off the water to the feeder and draining with a washer hose. The new style expansion tanks have a rubber bladder and a 12to 15 psi air charge to work with the feeder usually set the same psi. When he drained, any water in the expansion tank has come out down the supply pipe. Sometimes zones do not have to be fully drained if zone valves and isolation valves are closed and you can pull a vacuum on on the boiler without draining everything completely. Like holding your finger on the top of a straw as you pull it out of your drink

A temporary solution so you can get a month out of it before the new one is installed but it will gum up every piece including the relief valves in the radiators .what a mess it makes .you need chromium as a rust preventer .but it's cancer causing to humans .
