Fact about the picture in the video. It’s depicting the battle of spotsylvania courthouse, specifically the 12th day, known as the bloody angle. I don’t know the specifics off the top of my head, but the Union charged confederate breastworks and were met with heavy musket fire. Eventually the Union reached the breastworks(depicted in the photo) and the resulting fight was hell. It was muddy, pouring down rain, and wet as hell. Nobody could fight each other organized because the terrain was a goddamn slip n slide. The confederates eventually pushed the Union back, and the battle as a whole was declared inconclusive. If you want to know why that was not a problem for the Union, read about General Grants strategy. Disclaimer: I know this is spotsylvania, but I’m only 80% sure it’s the bloody angle. I could be totally wrong lol
