Classic Boise St. style of play. They are disciplined, and they don't quit. They looked like they were going to get destroyed in the first quarter, and they clearly are not as athletic as FSU. Yet, they don't give up. They make adjustments, and the next thing you know, they have shut down the opposing team and figured out ways to score. You have to give credit to their coaches to be able to adjust so well during the game and come out on top.

I was very surprised by the BSU running game. Mahone couldn't be stopped and he had a great stiff arm. Never saw him run this well. The success of the running game was more surprising than the great play of the freshman QB. BSU always finds a qb and more often they find great QBs. I think FSU will be fine. The talent level is obvious. They need to be more consistent and learn to rely on each other or in other words be a Team. BSU has a talented team. They play hard, are consistent, disciplined and they just don't give up.

I didn't like how FSU handled the transition from Bobby Bowden to Jumbo Fisher! I didn't like the hiring of Taggert, but I think he is a better hire than Nepotism as in FSU handed the head baseball coaching job to Mike Martin's son! However, I will caveat that college sucks because you can't block, you can't tackle and you can't hit! Let the girls play!

Auburn fan here! Just came to see how the new coach runs his offense. First game of his that I have watched and I must say I am impressed! Bosie fans, does Harsin call his own plays? If so he is really good at making adjustments. It seemed like fumbling on that 1st drive took away their momentum and made them divert from their original game plan. I think that's why they had to settle for so many field goals early on. But him being able to think on his feet to get them into field goal range so much says a lot about him. They got hit in the mouth a couple of times early but didn’t flinch! They just continued to chip their way back in. He didn't even have to go that deep into his playbook to get them within striking range either. About two thirds of the way through the 3rd he started calling formations and plays he had not ran all game. Some really creative stuff I might add. He had them just where he wanted them. They had closed in on the score, FSU was tired, and they were not ready for those plays with no time to adjust. They made them look like fools in their own house to a lesser talented team. Anytime guys like that play really hard and never give up and stay that disciplined it says a tremendous amount about the coach. And man talk about some nice running plays. WOW! I can't wait to see him on the plains next fall. WDE 🦅

My Florida State Seminoles lost but we'll be alright I'm not mad we got a whole bunch of good players we just got to put it together
@michaelbeelby19955 жыл бұрын
As long as they don't get out coached and out played in the second half like this every week. Defense was putting in work but the offense just never came back out of the locker room after the half. That's on the coaches, the staff, and some of those 'good players' and it is unacceptable.

It was just the first game and we looked pretty damn good in the first half so I think we can still have a good season

@ExternalDefeat875 жыл бұрын
In the last ten years: Georgia, VT, Virginia, Washington, Washington State, Oregon 3 times, Arizona. All games the opponents were favored. And those are the ones I can remember. All power 5 teams. All teams have way better recruiting pipelines and a larger fan base. So yes, they are giants compared to Boise. Guess I can add FSU to that list.

If Boise St is playing a pwr 5 school It's always safe to bet on the Mustangs. They don't lose to anyone except exemplary teams. Is it really a wonder why everyone is seemingly afraid to schedule them? anything less then 9 wins this year is underachieving.

Boise is a much better coached football team. FSU is wasting talent as to where Boise is exceeding expectations with the players they have recruited. FSU did unravel in the second half with mistakes.

Your helmet is not supposed to pop off when you get hit. All this talk about different helmet manufacturers being allowed and not allowed means nothing when a player isn't wearing the correct size or buckling it correctly. Players need to take responsibility in their own safety.

I think I know the play you are talking about, when the BSU QB gets knocked backward and his helmet just flys off, just from his head whipping forward, looked like the helmet was a few sizes too big.
