Yeah I tested that, it scales with %hp so if it's on 1% it becomes a Berserk with 1%.

it may not be as good. First bragi doesnt give them an anti-cavalry bonus anymore, and second, Tyr's upgrade doesnt give them health or damage anymore (instead giving them 35% lifesteal, which is less overall useful). Overall, Freyr may have better berserkers. less armor but more health than what Thor can make, and only 1 less damage per hit... until any of them dies (since they get a stackable 15% damage buff when an ally dies nearby), or they get the chance to sit still a long while before engaging; though Thor in that case still has the armory upgrades for his otehr troops and stronger hersirs while freyr would be hyperfocused on berserks at the expense of almost everything else.

Can someone explain to me if there's a combat triangle in this game? I've been playing early access all day, I can't seem to win a game, I build counter infantry, I get destroyed by what seems to me to be mass infantry? I build heroes, I get destroyed by myth units? I'm very confused.

There is simple ones are, | archer --> infantry --> cavalry --> archer | , | hero --> myth --> mortal --> hero | Mortals are considered countering heroes because mostly they are more cost effective. Also some heroes are not just heroes for example hersir is also infantry so they are also countered by infantry counters. There are also counter units which are strong against units they are countering and generally they are the same class as them with exceptions of course. Countering counter units follows the same logic for example if you want to counter "axeman" which is a "counter infantry - infantry" you need units that counter infantry for it which could be "toxotes" or again "axeman". But with all of that said, winning a match isn't just about making right counter units. Maybe your economy could be behind which generally the reason games are lost. Or maybe not making balanced armies or not switching fast enough to your opponents armies. Those could be the reasons too. But just playing more (watching would also help) and by extension learning more will improve your playstyle for sure.

it is, but it doesnt do the same thing anymore: now its just a 35% lifesteal buff, way less powerful than it used to.

@@juliusm5900 Egyptians had champion chariots mowing down the Berserks and the berserks were medium with no swine array, meaning their damage multiplier wasn't as high against the super high-health elephants as they should've been. Not to mention the phoenix just raining down death onto them bunched up. With more tech on Berserks (if he was going so all-in on that) would've made a huge difference. EDIT: Apparently swine array went to the Hirdman, making the Berserk way less counter cavalry than they used to under Bragi.

"Slingers are really good against Norse"? Do Norse even have anything that slingers are good against? Throwing axes are infantry. Bogs were removed. Godi aren't widely used at the moment.

@@horakhty2217 not sure since axemen arent classified as ranged infantry (for exemple they get no benefit from flaming arrows). Maybe the Godis do though, and in any case a ranged troop is always good to have even if unbonused..

Slings of the sun gives slingers 50% damage boost vs infantry. They also attack very fast with small hits which means they have little overflow damage, making them efficient at killing everything except RCs

@@BunnyHoppin- dont forget Huskarls is a terrible matchup for slings too, even worse than RC... They can eat sling damage for days, and are a common norse troop in the mid/lategame mixed with berserks precisely for how well they soak piercing damage (though axemen eat them for breakfast)

In the late game, pumping 50f 30g into them is nothing... It's in late classical/fortress age, once you got the map control and want to finish your opponent that it might require a nerf.

not quite free, you still pay for the villager. All it does is remove the gold cost, at the price of that way of makign berserks being MUCH slower and from a building thats far more expensive than a longhouse. And compared to the real ragnarok, the troops you get are FAR weaker (plus still murders your economy if you convert everyone, like the normal ragnarok)

Getting the free myth unit when rebuilding the temple seems like a bad decision ngl. Removes a lot of the strategy.
