Bojack has plenty of great running jokes, but I think one of my favourites is definitely seeing the strict no-nonsense Kelsey go all gooey and squeeing about how cute Todd is every time she sees him (though you can hardly blame her)

The reference to Ibsen is one of those things in Bojack that you might not even notice - but if you know (about Ibsen's themes) and keep in mind that this is Beatrice's go-to reference, it really adds to her characterization...

"What are you doing here?" Is gonna be a running theme for season 2, keep a eye out.

It might be just me, but it was really hard to hear the dialogue from the show. Is it possible to make it louder or add subtitles to the next episode? If not, no worries.

Fun fact most of Wendy Malicks characters are almost always alcoholics or are almost never seen without a drink in their hands.

Watching this episode with you for 10th time or so, I’ve just realized that BoJack started this audio program is probably a consequence of what Diane said to him in the previous episode. There is no deep down, only the things you do. Also people who are broken as much as BoJack tend to show so much dedication to such programs. At some point they truly believe “ok, if I’ll do this it will change me”. For a short time, of course. But the problem is, it’s just another way to run away from your feelings. And they have really huge experience in that already

Ah, Beatrice.... the most rosy, cheerful, and outright positive influence on Bojack's life. Believe me when I say this isn't the last we'll be seeing of _her!_ 😉

John Krasinski plays Secretariat. Also I would argue Stuart is even more incompetent than Charlie Witherspoon.
@SpiralSine63 жыл бұрын
It depends, Stuart barely tries and barely gets results, while Charlie does try but also barely gets results. If we want to think about effort/output ratio, Stuart is probably more competent.

@@SpiralSine6 SPOILERS FOR SEASONS 2 & 3 Charlie also successfully runs a business later though. So he puts effort in and has some success. Plus, has Stuart ever caught a flying bagel? I think not!

Beatrice’s call was actually incredibly helpful for Bojack. He can actually begin the real work of change as opposed to the phony “change” with no healing/addressing his past.

Bojack is a terrible person, but you can see how his parents especially his mother had an impact on how he turned out. He wanted to gain her approval and become someone and instead became an arrogant narcissist.
