They used to paratroop-rush victory points but that got banned so they stopped using them for a while.

The thing is, if they start consistently using paratroopers the other players will start to consistently plan countermeasures (Like divisions in the back line to stop paratroopers or encircle them) at which point paratroopers become a waste of resources. That's how the meta works.
