Hilariously enough this was actually the exact opposite of German late war doctrine. Panzers were forbidden from advancing without supporting infantry later in the war (partially because they couldn't afford the risk) This is what actually allowed Audie Murphy to earn his medal of honor by suppressing the supporting infantry with a browning .50 on a burning tank destroyer he was able to holdback the enemy tanks without the ability to destroy them.

@@svenrio8521 essentially he decided to not bother with long range ships and instead focus on what are essentially over armoured and gunned ships that couldn't go to far, so were stuck moving from port to port, HOWEVER because he's Italy, most of his naval conflicts wouldn't be out at sea, so he could make ships that could easily trek the med, and as shown later, move around (with the help of spanish and german ports) to the channel
