Brooke's sudden realization that Ridge is her true love is only one half of the reason for the breakup. Equally significant is how _quickly_ Thorne gives up on the marriage. He immediately believes the worst even though he is married to Brooke, which implies that in the back of his mind, he was always aware of Brooke's feelings for Ridge. It's not new information but something he has known all along without admitting it to himself. I would go one step further and say that Brooke's feelings for Ridge were actually what drew Thorne to her in the first place. He wanted to prove that he was "better" than his brother by making Brooke forget about Ridge. And now he realizes he hasn't actually accomplished that, which makes the entire relationship just another faiIure to compete with Ridge. Instead of making him feel good about himself, the relationship is making him feel like a Ioser. And this is why he is in such a hurry to leave.

Yes exactly! Very well said. For one reason or another, _both_ Brooke and Thorne got involved with each other because of their feelings for Ridge. And when Stephanie was opposing the relationship that only made Thorne want it more because he was finally getting his mother's attention too.

The problem is Eric, there was no miscommunication or misunderstanding between Brooke and Throne or brooke and you. And Brooke never tried to make it work with you. She never loved you or cared for you and she never ever will. You weren't even a substitute for rigde, you were only a Bank account, the foot into wealth, the name Forrester and money and FC. You were a revenge plot against Stephanie and rigde. Thats all what she wanted from you. Once that was done, you were useless for her and she had no more interest in you.
