I use a slightly different build, but I get a very similar result. I can stop just about any 4* ship, and seriously damage most 5*. I'm only level 33 and have 4 docks. This is very useful for Incursions. Let ppl blow up on your base and you get mad points.

The trick to quick repairs is to use cheap ships and repair them with lat. Tier 1 Turas cost 1 lat to repair and can be done with one tap.

I was thinking. It would be cool if they did something like the enterprise with 2 bridges, They could then allow you to use 2 captains abilities and maybe the second bridge only has one support officer. The draw back is that maybe you cap out at 3 lower deck officers or something along those lines.

Unless I'm mistaken, it doesn't matter if the Kras ship is first to pop. All you are doing is negating Rom which happens at start of battle. Might as well let it take first hit after that. Same with Harrison ship.

I run Pon with full synergy on one baby Jelly, Lorca with full synergy on another, and Yuki with full synergy (Zhao and Harrison) on my third. Kras with full synergy on one Realta and the BS ST on a battleship. 100% shield bypass and one third shield stripped in the first round. When I'm set up properly, my 750 mil base can withstand a 600 mil D'Deridex with Rom, HWorf, Lorca or the BS ST. I've yet to be one-shot by a G5 since I was level 44 (I'm currently 54)

Rate my setup: 1. PM/ST Una augur, 2. Kras/Komal/GG corvette, 3. Picard/Bev/Harrison Talla, 4. Weyoun full synergy Enterprise, 5. Dukat full synergy D4. Ideas: don’t need Lorca/gorkon with Dukat, g3 epics are cheap enough to repair and have more hull to keep defense platforms in business a bit longer and maybe help me punch up one more ship level. 5 dock setup.

Rev, I know this is for small ships that are cheap to fix, but what happens if you move this up to epic 3* ships, enterprise, Augur, D4, or mixing in Saladin, Centurion, Bortas which all have base defense functions. Say I have five ships and I use Kenner and the rest of the auxiliary crew?

2* jellyfish are the way to go. I have 3. Tilly, Yuki and pon on 2* jellies. Pike with Harrison and lorca (or more for 100% synergy for harrison). Kras on another. You will do NO SHIELD DAMAGE TO THE SHIP. Once I get my 4th jelly, pike Harrison lorca will be on it. If you only have 1 2* jellyfish, use Yuki on her.

Baby Jellyfish doesn't affect Pon's proc rate. This has been tested, by me. 30 times I got it attacked, proc rate was 10/30. Without getting too much into math, suffice to say the odds of that outcome occurring randomly is < 0.01%.

@@garrettjohnsonyt That's because the Baby Jelly ship ability got slightly nerfed. You still have a mathematical increase towards Pon's proc rate but in use it appears to be of negligble impact. But if it does proc... your opponent is in for a bad time.

I'm not sure about using Ortegas/Corvette. One of the main concepts behind the original BOLD defense was to force the attacker to attack in the proper order, so you could control that by having everything on explorers of increasing strength except for the survey at the tail end because no ship in the triangle prioritizes surveys. If someone comes around with an interceptor the battle triangle will mean that the Corvette is going to be the first attacked, not the Realta. You'd only get that % chance of delaying weapon fire on the first round, which is already covered by Pon. That may or may not be enough to justify losing the Kras synergy, especially if the attacker runs their Rom with Cadet McCoy/Next Gen Crusher as a Kras/BOLD counter.

Wouldn't Pon be more effective on the 2* Jelly? It's more of a gamble but odds are that you clean sweep the attacker. By letting the jelly go down in round 1 you don't have to deal with Turas and you can use Corvettes instead which will reduce the buttons you need to press to repair.

That's what some other players have found; the problem is that since the Baby Jelly got nerfed a bit it's not quite as effective as you'd think. I'm still going to pick up a second Jelly to add that 2-4% boost it provides to Pon's ability to proc.

Most of them don't need/require below deck officers. If you run the Tilly crew (Tilly (C), Saru, Burnham you'd need to stack attack If you run the Yuki crew (Yuki (C), Marcus, Zhou you'd need to stack defense But beyond that, they're not really necessary because the bridge crew don't use/need stats to boost their abilities.

Sounds like the only time you can really use this is if you're either hitting other players or staring at an idle base because you have to have everything docked to defend the base. Using 4-5 docks and most of your PvE crews means you are not doing much.

I'd use it primarily during Incursions because if you put a dent in a 4* or 5* ship, that's a ton of points. Which is why it's unfortunate that Incursions isn't going to run any time soon. But if you have 5,6,7,8 docks it's great for messing with players who are trying to break you down.

Great during incursions for points...let whales wear themselves out a few times...get huge point. Also..can't discount the 'angry whale' who gets upset when you tear up their TC for ISO and 4* and try to get you back by cracking your base ;-) Even better when you take their stuff AND crush their Newton for giggles.

Strike team best use splited is on defense. Damar can reduce cri dmg, Pon can reduces cri chance and Strike Team Una make everyone ignore shields mitigation (Bye bye Harrison).

Also note Bajor favors has reduce crit dmg and crit chance.... It was tested those aply to every ship (and maybe cannon): Get zero favor on reduce crit chance and 2-3 on reduce crit dmg... u will see crit hits hit for less them 100%

@@derpizzadieb Except as Rev also pointed out in his video, it also depends on your defense platform hull, damage, and shields as that's what's chewing through your opponent's ship - and Rev's is not as high as others as he hasn't prioritized it. So no direct comparison can be made unless all variables are accounted for. The point of the ships/officer combos are to weaken your opponent's ship so the defense platforms can take chunks out of its hull. And like i said originally, your personal anecdote =/= data tested by other players in a variety of situations across a variety of ops levels. If your version works for you, great! But it doesn't mean nor make it the most effective for the majority of players. Let's reduce the ego a bit, yeah?
