That is the sad truth. It would have been great. But Bradley bell had already taken over from bell Sr. So, in this show Brooke is the little fake crocodile tears playing victim blaming everyone else for her own doings and never will have to face any consequences for anything. Very one-sided.

SPOILER ALERT! 8:19 something just clicked with me during this scene. Notice how very similar the facial structures of Eric and Thorne are. This must have been a very deliberate casting decision when recasting Thorne and simultaneously a prelude to the storyline where it's being unveiled that Eric isn't Ridge's father, but Massimo is. When you think about it, Ridge is much more Italian looking, with the dark eyes and darker skin complexion. It's crazy how much Eric and Thorne look alike here, especially being in the same room both wearing business attire.

Eric and rigde have the same skin complextion, the same hair color and the same eye color. He looks like he could be Eric's son. Both have very significant facial structures. On the other hand, thorne has fair skin, blue eyes and blond hair. He does not have those significant facial structures. He looks nothing like Eric. He looks like stephanie, like Kristen does too. Rigde and Felicia look like Eric.

The problem with that is Ridge was always Eric’s son until Joe Mascolo became available and Brad Bell wanted him in the show, so came up with the paternity storyline as a way to tie him in strongly with the Forresters when he joined. Joe was a serious actor who demanded serious screen time so that was the best Brad Bell could come up with to keep him right in the thick of the core family drama.

From a viewer's perspective, Stephanie's offer to give Brooke her 33% of the company seems totally fair. It would give Brooke financial independence, allow Brooke to salvage her relationship with both Ridge and Eric, and it would give Brooke (justifiable) revenge against Stephanie. But from a writer's perspective, I understand why Brooke had to demand 51%. It's a much more dramatic twist and a great source of storylines for years to come.

I think she owns 50%. But ofc she had to make a lesser offer to Brooke than 50%, because the outcome would be the same as what Connor demanded. So, she offered Brooke 1/3 of her shares and with that the opportunity to control stephanie and have more shares she would have and also a win for her. I think stephanie than has 27 % left. So it was an offer and might a ploy at the same time. A win win for both. Brooke would have had the upper hand, but stephanie still would have shares. But I could be wrong and stephanie lost shares or gave some away. I don't remember any of that.

As the takeover is about to occur the show has consciously decided to invoke sentimental language and dialogue for the Forresters in an attempt to portray them more sympathetically. Stephanie offering herself as sacrifice to save the family and Eric talking about saving the company for its employees is a way to make both of them seem more noble after the ignoble stunts they pulled. I realize not everyone will feel that charitably toward them and that’s fine. But the show clearly means for at least half the audience to view them that way. It’s consistent with the kind of balance the show always struck back then and why there are always warring fan camps: Brooke has never been portrayed as a complete villain or a complete heroine, and here once again her takeover can be viewed as either triumphant or a tragedy. The few times I’ve seen clips and episodes from recent seasons this is one of the major things that I’ve noticed is missing: the current writers aren’t able to strike this kind of balance and often just write situations and characters one-sided. So watching these episodes here I’m struck by the sense of “the end of an era” - not just the Fall of the House of Forrester but the transition away from Bill Bell’s careful beautiful storytelling.

Stephanie has told several employees that she owns half of that company. Brooke heard it too. I would have loved for Brooke to question her about it and how she ended up with a "lousy" 1/3. Either she is lying or as I saw on other comments she has already gifted some of her stock to her children. It should have been addressed either way.

And it was discussed that Steph would be "left with nothing" in terms of stock and voice in the company. So somehow it is certain that she only has 1/3 now, or she wasn't clear to Brooke about what "all" meant.

@@trinit2108 I will assume that Stephanie is telling the truth that it's 1/3 now, Connor would easily find out if she actually had 50% and I don't think she would risk lying right now. So my best bet is that she recently (before the Belief issue) gifted some of her stock to her children. Makes sense that the missing 20% went 5% each to her 4 children. I think the writers should have addressed that though, because we heard her say 50% many times up until recently. Maths is my worst subject too, but when I enjoy something like this show I put more effort to understand it 🤣🤣

Stephanie made an interesting offer. This really could have been a solution: stephs stocks, stephanie out of the business (most important part of it!) a possibilty to come along with the rest forresters. Brooke should have talked it out with Connor. 21% less but still a lot money and a possibility to come along with the rest. If she has 51% she still has steph in the management with your 30% of 49%. She must face steph every day in business. Is 21% more worth it? I am looking forward whats happening
