Sheila's wistfulness over Erica's success and her realization that she can't be part of her daughter's new life shows the limitations of trying to live vicariously through someone else. She’s happy that Erica’s being accepted by the Forresters but she’s also jealous that she’s not part of their family anymore. And then on the phone call she gets carried away by fantasy as if Erica being with Rick is really about her being with Eric (“Eric Forrester invited me to dinner”) until bitter reality sets in that it can never be that way for her again. This is actually a very nuanced portrayal - quite unusual for this storyline and for Brad's writing in general!

@@NewYorkNick0607 I'm enjoying seeing KB play the role of proud, fugitive mama lol. Her cinderella story is coming true, albeit thru her daughter. And I actually do feel somewhat sorry for her that she can't go to the ball at Castle Forrester, more than I'd feel for any other villain they've had on the show. Edit to add - I def feel more sorry for Sheila who has actually k I lled ppl, than I do for Brooke.

Sheila is like the fairy godmother who made everything happen for Erica so she can go to the Forrester ball (even down to giving her a dress!) but in this version the fairy godmother is living vicariously through Cinderella and wishes she could go too. And instead of the prince showing up at the house to find Cinderella, in this version he shows up to potentially expose -the fairy godmother- the fugitive mother.

Yes! I found the portrayal of Sheila in these scenes quite touching. And somehow I still feel sympathy for her, bees and all. 😂 The scene where Eric spoke kindly with her on the phone simply because he didn't realize who she was, was quite poignant. In that one moment, Sheila had a clean sIate. And then Ziggy brought her back to reality.

The other day I went back to watch the episodes where Brooke was telling Eric she wanted a divorce. Eric was so deflated (much to my enjoyment)... How Eric can now stand even talking to Brooke after she literally humiliated him is beyond me.

Its mindboggling that he forgives, defendes and still roots Brookehoe after all what she did to him. Brooke hurted,humiliated and disrepected Eric to the max, way more than Stephanie ever did and Stephanie actually had reasons to loath, hate and dispice Eric.

If it wasn't using baby Eric to ensure Eric divorced Steph and marry her, it was baby bridgit to get Ridge to divorce Taylor and marry her. Now it's baby Nope (™️ @Nick) to get bridgit to forgive her and move on like nothing ever happened. Her children have never been anything but a means to an end for her.

Why is Brooke trying to foist this baby on bridgit? Is it that Brooke just does not get that the child is the product of the worst thing she has ever done to bridgit and is the exact reason her daughter doesn't want to be around her? I really wish bridgit had kept this energy with Brooke and her illigitimate baby. Sure it's not baby Sharpe 's fault she was conceived, but that doesn't mean Bridigt should accept her.
